They would pick a high school wing to groom. He wouldnt be expected to contribute right away, and who better to learn under than kobe's offense, and magette's defense for a few years. They need a good PG, true, but unless thats going to come via trade, thats notgoing to happen. There is no pure PG in this draft who is ready to contribute right away IMO. Gordon is definately not a pure PG, and clippers havent displayed much interest in him that has been publicised. however, their interest in telfair is publisized. And since they could pick him up with a later pick in the first round, it would be pointless to pick another PG when they already have jaric. There is no center whose worth a high first round pick, they definately dont need a power forward, so the only logical move would be to get a shooting guard who they could groom.
This is all assuming that livingston is taken by the 6th pick, which most mock drafts have him doing. if hes available at 6, then i think they would take a hard look at him.
