Trade for McInnis
L.A. Clippers trades: SG Marko Jaric (8.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 30.4 minutes)
PF Melvin Ely (3.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.5 apg in 12.1 minutes)
#2 Pcik
L.A. Clippers receives: PG Jeff McInnis (11.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 33.8 minutes)
SG Dajuan Wagner (6.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 16.1 minutes)
#10 pick
future second round pick
Change in team outlook: +6.1 ppg, -1.6 rpg, and +2.0 apg.
Cleveland trades: PG Jeff McInnis (11.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 6.1 apg in 33.8 minutes)
SG Dajuan Wagner (6.5 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 1.2 apg in 16.1 minutes)
#10 pick
future second round pick
Cleveland receives: SG Marko Jaric (8.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.8 apg in 58 games)
PF Melvin Ely (3.7 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.5 apg in 42 games)
#2 Pick
Change in team outlook: -6.1 ppg, +1.6 rpg, and -2.0 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Cleveland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Cleveland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

It would love to have Jeff back on the Clippers he ran the team great, played his role perfectly and made big shots at the end of games. Then at 10 the could get Telfair or if any of the other points are left the could get one of them. Or maybe if the Clippers really like Pavel they could get him there probably. I think Wagner could be a great bench scorer for the Clippers. He would be like Eddie but a better player at that role.

Because it doesn't make any sense...
Trades don't happen just for the hell of it.
If McInnis didn't get hurt last year at the end, the Cavs make the playoffs, he was a difference maker on that team.
I don't even need to go on with the rest.
This deal would never happen,

The Cavs would get the number two pick and could get Howard or Okafor and would have a verstaile wings that could play point. I think the Cavs would do it. Lebron with Howard or Okafor would be a good combination. I know they have Boozer but they could play Howard or okafor with him since they always seem to be disappointed in Z.

Thats a bad trade for the Clippers.
McInnis had an attitude when he was here, and he wouldnt accept coming back. He has one year left on hisdeal, and he would bolt right after the season. So he means nothing to the Clippers.
DaJuan Wagner has been a flat out bust during his time in the league. His value is very low right now because he hasnt done a damn thing.
So the Clippers move down, all the way from #2 in a two player draft to #10, out of range for all the top point guards, and acquire a one year rental and a bust, for #2, a solid reserve, and a young big man.
I wouldnt even trade Jaric and Ely for McInnis and Wagner(because McInnis will be gone in a year, and only disrupt any chemsitry the team may have), let alone dropping from 2 to 10.
Thats a horrible trade for the Clippers.
