I dont know similar thread has opened but here's my opinion on why Kobe is not a good fit for the Clippers Franchise.
Of course Kobe will raise the Clippers franchise value. However I've liked the Clippers way before the hype. Before number 7 Odom hit the floor and Darius Miles and Mr Q combo. Why? There are very exciting to watch, they are not one dimensional team, you want penetration and dunk in every game? you got it. You want a reasonable amount of treys? it's there.
Bringing Kobe will only associate Mr wannabe Jordan to the Clippers Logo, and that ain't it. It is not even natural, Kobe wanna sport that image, look, he can't even bear Shaq. He wants to be in total control, wants his teamate view him as God.
Dont get me wrong I love Kobe style, he has great body control, creative dunk, quicker than most point guard, and drible swiftly.
The Clippers owner has been known for being trifty, that's not always a bad thing, that force the GM to be efficient. As matter of fact efficiency that is also why I like the Clips (like the Marlins,Pirates, Patriots...). Will the Clippers become an overspent Franchise? I don't know if I will still be a fan if the CLippers spend money on Kobe.
