I would have been surprised if E.B. didn't apologize for that after the game. But according to Dunleavy:

I met with Elton for 20 minutes after the game. He said he was frustrated with the bumping, but he lost his cool and he is sorry.

Even the Bobcats took it well:

When you get out there and people are on you and they’re playing you (tough defensively), you know…Our defense was going after him. Sometimes you get up on the wrong side of the bed. We’re all fallible so it happens. But I don’t think (Brand) can be judged because he’s a quality human being. Things happen. And that shows you, occasionally when the good guys go off, then we all can.

I just stayed with it (defensively). I was trying to play tough D. He’s a great post player and if you allow him to do too much then he’ll destroy you. So I just tried to crowd him and make his moves as hard as possible. He got frustrated. I don’t think he pushed me on purpose. He just happened to catch me. He (swung his arms in frustration) and his eyes were kind of closed so I don’t think he could see me.

As was said earlier, I hope he doesn't miss the Laker game.
