Give Kaman More Touches

Ever notice how Kaman never has any plays run for him? All dunleavvy has him do is set meaningless picks usually. Next to brand, he is the best post player on the team. The small centers out there he can shoot over, and the big lumberjacks cant match his speed. Like the game tonight. they ran one post play to him, and he converted a nice hook shot. Another pick and roll, and he had a lay up.

Kaman is not good on the offense glass...he seems to not be able to hold onto the ball after getting a rebound...so, let moore continue that roll of putting back the shots, which he is great at. But when kaman is on the floor, id like to see him posted up 5-7 times a game. We saw what he could do when given looks in the summer league. Moore gets no looks in the post which is fine since he has 0 post game. Wilcox gets more than kaman though, but i think kaman is the better post player.

Id like to see him and moore rotating at starting now. On games with skinny tall guys like tonight with gasol...perhaps moore should have started, with kaman backing him up. Then games when they play shaq, ilgauskus, etc., start kaman. But if you have him on the floor, run plays for him, dont just have him making screens that half the time he doesnt even connect on.

I couldnt agree with you more. If Kaman got as many shots as Elton and Maggette gets, he would be avg. 20pts a game. Its unbelievable how many shots Corey chucks up a game. I would take Kamans shot over Coreys offbalanced shots anyday. But when Maggette has an a open look, I wouldnt mind him taking the shot then.

Yeah, i would give him the number of looks magette has, but i would give about 2-3 times what hes getting now. Maybe dunleavvy is waiting for him to get 100% healthy >Remember, he has two injuries he is getting over..

Kaman could be an awesome player. When you see things going well for him, he looks like a potential star. I think that he just pisses Dunleavy off too much with his erratic play. Sometimes he can make a couple great plays in a row, then look lost on the next two possessions.

Kaman does need more touches. For those who watched him played in the summer league you know what kind of production he displayed when he was given the ball. I think he is still try to shake off all these recent problems that have happened to him.

Clippers are crazy for not giving Kaman more touches in the paint tonight against the Hornets. The one time they gave him the ball in the post, he backed is played all the way down for an easy turn-around layup. Then they didnt even play him the entire secound half, except for some min. at the beginning of the third. But they finally pulled Mikki Moore out going into overtime for Kaman, and then they finally got some buckets and finished the game. That is after Kaman grabbed some key rebounds and had a few blocks. His presence in the paint is so important for the Clippers.
