Draftcity clippers mock draft (already)
Yeah, its early, but its interesting to start looking at the 2/3 that the Clippers might get next year. Also didnt realize that if the clippers make the playoffs, their pick goes to Toronto.
http://www.draftcity.com/viewarticle.php?a=79
I think its almost guaranteed that the clippers draft a 2/3, UNLESS of course somehow they notonly get allen or redd, but resign simmons.
I like their second round pick of the PG from washington for the clippers to replace chalmers.
If they do get a 2/3, seems like these are the top ones next year:
Rodney Carney, 6’7 SG, Memphis
Adam Morrison, 6’8 SG/SF, Gonzaga
JR Giddens, 6’6 SG Kansas
Hakim Warrick, 6’9 SF/PF, Syracuse
Francisco Garcia, 6’7 SG, Louisville
Rudy Fernandez, 6’5 SG, Spain
Kennedy Winston, 6’6 SG, Alabama
Sean Banks, 6‘8 SG/SF, Memphis
Joey Graham 6’7 SF, Oklahoma State
Julius Hodge PG/SG/SF
21 years old; 6' 7"; 205 lbs.
N.C. State, Senior
Rashad McCants SG/SF
20 years old; 6' 4"; 205 lbs.
North Carolina, Junior
Gerald Green 6-8 200 SG TX HSSr.

I think the Clips should get Gerald Green Ive seen him play he is gonna be a star. I have a bet with my friend that he will be an all-star by his 5th year.

yeah, if they cant get the best SG/SF in the draft, and only time will tell who that will be, id like to see them go for a high school guy again.

The Clips need to make a move for an established "star".
I don't want to be in the lotto again next year because we don't need anymore players that need to be stars, soon HKF will be here and he will talk about how the Clips should draft Curtis Stinson and my post will follow his with a yep yep.

Depends on if Clippers make the Baron deal, but if they do, the pick goes to the Nets and they can have the pick. In that case Baron is better than getting Stinson.
Oh and Gerald Green is going to Oklahoma State for a year. He is going to learn how to play big time defense the way Tony Allen, Desmond Mason and the Graham bros. are.

Did the website make a mistake and say that the pick was giong to toronto? Its really NJ?
By any means, this would be the year for the clippers to lose their draft pick, becuase this is probably one of the worst drafts in recent years...

To my knowledge NJ has our pick but it's lottery protected this year but not next year.

I wrote the article. Yeah I got the picks wrong.
Denver's 2006 pick is going to Toronto. The Nets own the Clippers pick (if the Clippers make the playoffs this year). If they trade for Baron and miss the playoffs, then they would be well-served to take a guy like Hakim Warrick, rather than Stinson. (Hope this clears up any confusion).
Reason why, they have their 3 guard rotation of Baron, Livingston and Maggette. Then you have Simmons at the 3, Brand and Kaman.
Thing about Warrick is, he is 6'9 SF/PF and could be a very valuable person, even after losing Wilcox in a trade, because he can play both positions off the bench for the Clips, but he fits into a running style of game. If they can't get him, then they would be better suited taking a wing as well. SG/SF preferably, so you'd want someone who is 6'7 or bigger.
