Notes: The Clippers are going for their 3rd straight win. The team recently hit .500 with their last win which put them at 15-15. The Portland Trail Blazers however are trying to get back at .500 with a win, being 14-15. Bobby Simmons has been in a slump and will be looking for a good shooting night. In order for the Clippers to prevail they will have to maintain any lead and not give any chances for the Blazers to come back in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Weasel, dont encourage his crazy remarks by acknowledging them. He will find a conspiricy in every injury in the leauge before you know it.
Anyway, as the LA times stated, this is almost a must win for the clippers, as with their top players out, they have a good chance at going on a 6-8 game loosing streak after this game since they play twice with seattle, and then miami, phoenix, and san Antonio.
With kaman playing a little better, if ratliff played, i think they would put him on kaman, thus he wouldnt get so many blocks like he did against brand and the other smaller guys. But of course, thers no doubt clippers are better off whenever a starter from the other team cannot make the game.
Keys to winning the game:
1. Simmons needs to break out of his shooting funk.
2. Cilppers need to limit the Portland point guards to under 20 points
3. Kaman/Rebraca/Moore need to have a combined 20 points, unless brand/magette go over their averages.
4. Clippers need to limit the fast breaks and offensive rebounds of portland.
With the injuries, the clippers depth chart will look like this:
Center - Kaman, Rebraca
PF - Brand, Moore
SF - Simmons
SG - Magette, Ross
PG - Brunson, Chalmers
Unless Im forgetting someone, the clippers will only suit up 9 players. 10 if they sign a last minute Point guard.

Chill out, get laid, or something.
I wasn't being that serious.
Should we acknowledge you the next time you suggest a Kittles for Artest trade?
Yes, you should, because it was a very good proposal given the variables in that. You see thats the difference with our posts.. i lay out scenarios that are logical with the variables given, yet you talk about conspiricies in injuries, people faking injuries, and trade rumors you say are imminent before they are even acknowleded by the team.
Lets get back on topic.
I dont think martin will play over chalmers tonight since he has to learn the offense, but i think he will get some minutes in tonights game. perhaps even some minutes at shooting guard with brunson together.

I laid out a trade scenario after it was actually reported, **not really appropriate** as you did with Kittles for Artest.
And you're still defending that nonsense.
If you actually did any kind of research so you actually sounded like you knew what you were talking about, you'd know Kittles for Artest doesn't work unless they include something because Kittles makes about 4 million more than Artest.
True I was glad to see Magget finally shoot a nice %, but before that I wasnt laughing at all. His shooting was pretty nasty looking for a while, but hopefully he is coming out of it.
Good game.
That shot my Maggette to put the Clippers up by 4 was huge. Maggette had a monster game. Kaman looked pretty solid in the first quarter and didn't do badly in the game.
One thing the Clippers don't do well is defend the three. There always seems to be an open guy on opposition at the three point line.
Good game. Kaman getting more looks, and producing with those looks. Another double double for him.

hahahaha. I like this...youre obviously getting deffensive, knowing you have no basis to even step up to the mat with me in debating the issues, so you loweryourself to sophmoric humor. The moderators will no doubt edit your ridiculous comments soon, but it just goes to show who the sensible clipper poster is here. By the way, you did not "lay out a trade scenario," you almost guaranteed something happening after it was announced on one website, with no direct qutoes, no commetns from newspapers or any of the major news companies. I only laid out a reasonable scenario, and even had a disclaimer on my original post saying such.

There are many scenarios which would have worked, but no doubt that the bottom line would be kittles for artest are the key players in the trade, the rest would be throw ins...wouldnt be that hard for it to happen salary cap wise.
Back to tonights game, Magette showed tonight what he could do if he DID have a consistent shot. Thats the problem. He doesnt have one. tonight was just luck. The next game he might miss most of them. I really would like to see him work on his shot in practice....be one of those guys who shoots 400 jumpers a day after practice. if he did, he COULD become a superstar. He is the best at his position at driving and getting to the line, the thing he is lacking is a consistent jump shot. If he got one, then tonight's performance would be normal for him...hed be averaging 27+ points a game.
Simmons started slow then lit it up. Good to see him hopefully out of his slump.
