Looking back: WHY DIDN'T WE WIN THOSE CLOSE GAMES!!!
So far, there were 12 games inwhich we lost because of lack of excetution, bad, Coaching, Corey Maggette, or bad officiating. These are the teams just to refresh everyone's memories.
Pistons(overtime)
Rockets(overtime)
Timberwolves(overtime)
Lakers
Celtics(double Overtime)
Jazz
Sonics
Kings
Kings
Hornets
Bucks
Sixers
If we had beatin those teams, our record overall would be 35-13. 35-13 WOULD BE ENOUGH TO RANK US 3RD PLACE IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE BEHIND THE SPURS AND SUNS!!!!
Wow, that's a painful thing to think about. Can you just imagine the CLips 12 games over .500?

This fuels the arguement that the clippers will never truely be contenders unless they have at least one superstar to go to in the fourth. Phillie had Allen, and he won it for them.
Sometimes in games like that I wonder what would have happened if the clippers actually did get Byrant.

I know what you are talking about. If the Clippers are consistent of doing something it is their poor execution towards the end of games. It is very frustrating watching them and them not delivering in the final minutes.

Yeah, besides poor execution sometimes its just lack of experiance. Lots of these clippers are still kids. The view veterns the clippers do have, or I should say the one ventern who has been around longer than 3 years is Elton, and you saw how they double team him. The high pressure shots, it seems that theres only a handful of clippers who really want to shoot it. Brand, Corey, Bobby (Sometimes), and I personally think if the coach told Jaric shoot it, he'd have no problems doing it. But some of these guys just cant hit the pressure shots, personally I know corey has chocked a few last minutes. But he has also made a few. As much as people dislike him, Id give him the last minute basket more than I would Rick, Bobby, Jaric, etc. Not because he's better, but because he doesnt seem all that intimidated by taking the big shots at the end, and that type of mentality will help.

Agreed, there really needs to be one go to guy who can create his own shots or draw traffic so he can dish it out to the open guy at the end. Usually that'd be Corey, but he hasn't proved that he can carry the team during clutch time.
Personally I think Jaric should get the ball, post up, and if the double comes he dishes it outside to Bobby or inside to Brand for a better look (not saying it'll work that way every game but that's how I'm picturing it right now )

I'm picturing a pic n roll play between Jaric/Brunson/Livingston and Elton Brand. Elton is almost money from midrange, so when we need the game winning bucket, have Elton set a pick at the baseline, the PG would drive baseline, then Elton would roll at his favorite spot with the shorter opposing point guard following him where Elton can get a clean look from about 15 feet at the elbow.

no it wouldn't work with Brunson, the opposing team will just leave Brunson alone for the open shot 'cuz they know he can't shoot
