After Korolev was picked, posters were ready to kick down the door...
Ever since draft night myself and a few others, stated Korolev was selected for a reason and the Clippers had a plan for the offseason. Green had a sub par SL, Granger and Wright had injury problems, and Korolev started to impress. Im not saying that we are better off with Korolev, but he is a very intresting prospect, we can now develop.
Next Bobby Simmons agreed to sign with Milwaukee and all hell broke loose.
We made up for Simmons by signing Cuttino. Finally the last prophecy came true. The final trick up the sleeve was trading for Sam Cassell.
Cassell gives us a good starting 5, 6 mil of cap space next year, and a 1st.
For all you who thought the Clippers were doomed from draft night, well the tables have turned and I hate to say I told ya so.

Doesn't the team have to win first, before declaring I told you so's? If the team is worst then last year, then what?

You are missing the point. The I told you so is for people who were bashing us for picking Korolev and losing Simmons. Those same people said we are still the same old Clippers, yourself being one.
One thing is for sure, the some old Clippers wouldnt have signed Mobley and traded a player we normally would have lost for nothing.
We now have our best starting 5 in team history and a realistic shot at the playoffs, an opportunity we havent had many times over the years.
I see what you are saying, we do need to win some games first, but I think we will do that.

You can say I told you so but Korelov still looks like a bad pick. Green had a sub-par summer league because half the Celtic team was ahead of him, unlike most rookie who just get to ply tons of minutes and get alot of looks. Granger will be fine physically they dont want to rush him so he could get injured that is why he didnt play.

based off of what? Both played essentially against inferior competition, both need to get stronger, and both are projects. Green is the popular choice because he is extremely athletic and can jump out of the gym.
Korolev has high basketball IQ and is already fundamentally sound. He needs only to get stronger before he contributes, Green needs to work more on his decision making.
Green would have been a better off of seeing him in person and his abilty to get good shots when he wants and he has an unblockable jumper and is a good outside shoot. Oh yay and he has a 40+ vertical and great length giving him good defensive potential.
