Well since your question is who is the bettter team player I would choose Maggette based on the sole fact that Maggette plays more games that Hughes does. So since Maggs plays more he helps the team more.
funny how a little run in the playoffs up's your value, when the stats are fairly average. Well, Hughes cashed in I guess. I'd take Maggette over him too, but that's just my opinion.....
Both of their stats are similar, but I rather have magette than hughes. The only bad thing about maggette is that he is too soft on defense. If he puts more effort in his defense he'll be on the all star game.
Another point that should be made is that maggette takes about 15 shots a game, while hughes takes about 18.
but maggette is a bit lax on defense, i've seen him play some great defense in the past years, so i know he's capable of it. but if he picks it up, he'll be a bonafide all-star.

Hughes is getting paid almost 3 mil more then Maggs and all hughes does better is play the passing lanes, Hughes is not a "beast" on the defensive end of the court, he's just a smart player who plays the passing lanes. Alot of Washington fans have told me and will tell you, Hughes will get blown by when he plays man to man
Depends what team I have. But Maggette's contract is alot nicer if that is under consideration, OS that gives him a edge. But if I needed someone to create off the dribble to get shots I would wants Hughes.

Not mention the contracts and not mention this was Hughes career year, and wont happen again while Corey has proven he can score 20 + ppg any year
