Laugh and giggle about this, but the Clippers have arguably one of the better starting fives in the NBA, if healthy. The off season additions of Cuttino Mobley and Sam Cassell could be the difference makers for the Clips and Shaun Livingston is one year more developed. Sam Cassell and Cuttino are very vocal guys, so it will be interesting to see if they are leaders or detractors in LA. Cuttino was the reason the Magic came together so quickly, and why the team fell apart after he left, and Showtime Sam is generally good for one season in a new city before he complains.

Let's not get carried away here...for every critic who praises the Clippers' moves this offseason, you still probably have 2 or 3 that bash them for improving (ESPN insider for example). They still have a long way to go before the respect comes.

Man I hope the Clippers can make playoffs. It's going to be an abolute battle to grab one of the last 4 spots out west. I hope Dunleavy has the boys ready for war.

Don't underestimate Ross who is going to be our Bruce Bowen. He was a terrific defender last year and should be even better this year plus he's been working extremely hard on his offense.

I think Clips and Lakers will be a battle for the 6th spot but i think there both a lock 4 the playoffs.

I dont think both will make the playoffs...on paper, the west seems too strong here in the preseason for both the clippers and lakers to depose one of the teams. On paper again, it seems like the clippers have the better chance to do it. But the thing about the western conference is, you never can predict anything.
1. Suns werent supposed to be that good in 04, and look what they did.
2. Sonics were supposed to be even WORSE, and look what they did.
3. No one could have guessed the twolves would have missed the playoffs.
So who knows what will happen. About that only thing that i think is sure, is that the spurs and rockets will probably be top 3 in the west barring superstar injuries.

Lets just all pray that we dont suffer injuries like last year. If we can avoid any major injuries there is no doubt that we will be in the Playoffs!
