-Maggette offensively plays better at SF than SG but defensively he is slightly better at SG.
-Brand does better offensively at Center than at PF but he does much better defensively at PF.
-Rebraca plays better at Center but plays amazing defense in both PF and C.
-Cassell plays much better PG than his horrible offensive and defensive skills at SG.
- Mobley plays SF slighty better than SG but for defense it is better to play him as SG.
- Kaman needs some more work
- Livingston needs to work on TO's and FG% but plays good defense.
- Wilcox plays much better both defensively and offensively at Center.
- Ross plays better at SG and is rated by 1 source at the 10th best defensive SG.
Also for the Clippers departing players:
Jaric- defensively gave up a lot against his opponets
Simmons- played good defense and was better suited at SG than SF
that is interesting...so our best defensive 5 would could look like z(c), brand (pf),magette(sf),ross(sg) and livingston(pg)?...i like that lineup...offensively sub wilcox, cat, and sam i think we'd be pretty potent...ok let the season start!
Um i really cant see the ego's of cat and sam i am fitting on the bench. Not happening.
Nice idea but there is no way they will both sit - maybe cassell but not cat. Behind Ross! no.
Thats interesting stuff Weasel... I always thought that Simmons would be a better fit as a SG.
Ross as the 10th best defensive sg suprised the crap outta me. Thats very interesting.
I believe Jaric in terms of defense would perform better at the SG position. The stats in the article also suggest that.
I agree that he would. I said that I believe Jaric was a better defender anywhere he was last season that Livingston. One of my few and only complaints about Livingston is that defensively he wasn't very good last season.
He is also a kid, with years and years to grow. Thats mainly why I didnt want to through him out to the wolves this year and make him a starter.. I want him to have time to learn and become a better defender.

i would think livingston would come off the bench anyways this year due to sam's aquisition so most likely he'll face the second and third string guards and hopefully gain some confidence and defensive skills...altho sometimes you just need to jump into the fire and a trial by fire for livingston would probably make him a worthy defender by season's end and make us that much stronger if we can make the playoffs...like they say playing against better players makes you a better player
Baylor said that the Clippers will be running a 3 man rotation at PG/SG with Mobley, Cassell, and Livingston. I just hope that Cassell doesn't see much time at SG since the stats indicate that he gets destoryed at that position.
