Clippers to be affiliated with NBDL team in Austin

Hopefully when the NBDL expands to more teams that one of the teams is in LA and the Clippers be affiliated with that one.

what exactly are the rules gonna be for teams sending players to the NBDL? I havent heard yet. I am still curious to how teams are gonna use it.

# An NBA team may assign any player on its Active List or Inactive List to play in the D-League, provided that the player has zero or one Years of Service at the time of Assignment.
# No players may be given more than three Assignments during any season. There is no minimum or maximum length of a D-League assignment.
# During the 2005-06 season, no NBA team may have more than two players on assignment at the same time.
# A player on Assignment will be carried on the Inactive List of his NBA Team.
Not sure about the other rules.

So a player can only be sent down 3 times so if they are injuries they will be brought back. I wonder how teams will use this if all the teams will use it alot or not. It would be best if the Clipper would pick up some guys in Traning Camp to be sent down and brought back incase injuries. Maybe if Yarso comes and isnt getting minutes send him down there same with Ewing.

At least there is an old Clipper connection with the Torros. Dennis Johnson is the coach.

Dont think LA would be that hot of a place for an NBDL team since we have two pro teams plus an LBC ABA Team. I think the PERFECT place for a California NBDL team would be san diego. The sports arena doesnt get used much, so scheduling wouldnt be a problem, plus san diego has missed bball since the clippers left...the dang cba teams that they tried to put there werent run properly.
Lakers and clippers and suns and warriors and could all use the san diego team.

Yes you are right, LA wouldn't be the best place to try and earn money. But a closer location would be much better.

do they ever televise these games so we can see the caliber of the players and also watch our guys?...i would like to see korolev playing if he didn't stay on the nba roster or even ewing or tabuse
