Clippers camp invites

In the OC register it says they invited Jared Riener, 6-11, played with the Bulls last season. Also Boniface N'Dong and Jan Jagla. The Clippers like what they saw from N'Dong in the summer league for the Nuggets. I like the Riener signing which gives them a big body and a guy under 3 years of experince and can be sent to the D-League. I hope Jagla wasnt the guy who Gerald Green dunked on.

Re: Clippers camp invites

Jan Jagla was a very solid college player. He will be a guy who might make an NBDL team as a free agent.

Re: Clippers camp invites

As long as he doesnt flop, i can see us picking up N'Dong. Clippers probably let n'diyaye go because why pay like 700-800K or so for someone who will be on the inactive list for most of the year. But if they really do want a legit 5th center, then i can see them picking him up for less than half of what n'diaye was due to make since he is a rookie.

I remember who this guy was now. I was shocked at his play in the summer league that i covered. He was blocking shots left and right, dunking over opponents, and had a consistent mid range jump shot, which is the thing that puts him above N'Diyaye IMO. Draftexpress.com called him possibly the best sleeper of the ENTIRE vegas tournament, which is good considering the number of players there. Im surprised another team less deep than the clippers wouldnt give this guy a training camp invite.

So i reiterate. Unless the clippers really have no intention of signing another guy, and/or ndong doesnt play up to potential as i saw him in vegas, i would dare say its almost a lock that he will be our 15th player on the roster.

They also added
PG Frank Williams
C Amal McCaskill
SG Fred Vinson

Williams might come in and compete with Tabuse and the same with Vinson. I dont see McCaskill making it becuase he would require more money as compared to N'Dong and Riener.

Re: Clippers camp invites

Why does it say that elton weighs 254, while on his profile it says 272. I hope that he hasn't lost so much weight.

I think some of the weights are wrong because they list N'Dong at 205.

I think Frank Williams can come in and make the team. He has the talent but hasnt lived up to it.

That's actually correct.

If the guy did THAT well, why didn't Denver sign him?

I mean I guess they valued Luke Schenscher more.
