Ranked 25th????

Are you kidding me? Look, I think Jaric is up and coming. But last season the Clippers were very decent with Jaric who was only there half of the time. This season if Cassell can play conistantly and actually be there for the majority of the season it will already be a HUGE improvement over last season. Not to mention having livingston healthy, and coming off the bench.

Though I dont think the Clippers offseason was a huge one, putting them at 25th is just typical ESPN BS.

As for the lakers at 16, I might laugh if it wasn't so sad. By the way CDRacing, why do you say ESPN hates them? Jim "the mortician" Gray needs to be surgically removed from their 2-guard's rectum. Like all media whores across the country, ESPN can't get enough of them (IMO, of course).

Since the Shaq/Phil/Kobe, ESPN has been overwhemingly negitive about anything Laker related. Now of course there is a few that still give Lakers the benifit of the doubt in some situations, but the majorty hates em. Some would label ESPN as being the ultimate bandwagoner. If your winning, they love you. If your losing, they hate you. I have no problem with people calling out the weakness of a team. I could spend hours going over Laker and Clipper weaknesses, I just like when theres a little balance to the debates thats all. Not to mention no matter what move they run with, its the wrong move. All of last season ESPN wrote so many times that letting Phil go was a horrible decision. Although Im not sure Phil would have come back even if Lakers did make an offer. However, Phil gone, Rudy in was bad, I agree with that. So the first thing Lakers do this offseason, is go after Phil. Get him back, and now they say its a bad choice bringing Phil Back because he wont mesh with Bryant. I find that BS, not because Kobe is a guy who gets along with anybody, but because if you think the Lakers didnt really talk with Kobe for MONTHS before they offered Phil a return, your retarded. Kobe is the Lakers franchise, and he cant be traded, and he is here for a long time. Kobe would have rather gotten Brown, but Phil will make him a better player. Sports Illustrated, etc all agree that Phil coming back is a good choice. But ESPN, the biggest and most outspoken component of Phil being let go, now is upset that he is back. I could go on forever, but if your curious just do an search on ESPN. 99.9 percent is negitive, and probably will be for a while to come.

As for the Clippers, ESPN hasn't always been horrible to the Clippers, but lately since the Clippers actually have started showing signs of life and a real chance at joining the playoffs, ESPN has been somewhat more negitive than ususal. Why? No clue..... This is the best the Clippers have been in 10 years.... I'm excited, most fans are excited.. But ESPN thinks the clippers will come in at 25th, even though they lost what 19 something games last season by less than 3 points!!! Because we had no clutch shooters, now we got two..... How can we possibly get worse than last season, our team is better. Do I think we had the greatest offseason, not at all. But anyone that says its a failure, is a total hater.

My hate for ESPN is there mainly beause I remember the old days when they were fair and objective to all teams. When they were optimistic, and gave credit where its do no matter what team it was, or what player was on the team. I miss that type of reporting, but thats gone now.

For the record, If there is any player that ESPN unanomosly want's to have an orgy with it's D. Wade.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. But BSPN gets under my skin.

All the Clippers have to do is make the playoffs so that they can be ranked 22. The next season. How did they go from 18 to 25 after the additions. Ohhh well just let play speak for itself because thats were you can tell people who make list have their own agendas

who cares the clips get no respect.. that comes with the turf.. have to show some track record before the respect comes.. ESPN did a big feature on the Clips.. Q,Darius,Lamer,Key and then that never materialized for the future for the Clips.. only clip season ticket holders got the CD. ESPN got the run for the season.. but that was a dud because the Clips didn't make the playoffs. That was the team that should have played like the Suns did last season.

In any event... let's just get this ship pointed in the right direction and get to the promised land like we all expect...

I totally agree with you 14HipClip. We need to prove ourselves in order to get the respect. All of those publications that you mentioned are basing their predictions on our horrid past. However, this year is going to be different. We have a great mix of youth and experience. Lets go CLip SHip!

I remember that the year they traded D-Miles for Andre Miller & in that upcoming season everybody who does the NBA on ESPN that I can think of was saying playoffs all the time & they won just only 26 games. Until we got to the big show, ESPN won't get sunked in between the hype.
