Re: Optimistic to the Core (Brand is excited)
It's impossible to not like Elton Brand I think. He seems like one of the NBA's genuinely good human beings, and one of the few professional athletes who really understands that he is blessed to have the job he has, and that ultimately it is the fans who give him what he has. There are a few players with more gaudy numbers, or so called "superstars," but frankly I don't think there's anyone I'd rather have playing PF for my team than EB.
As for the article, it's nice to know that every once in a while the LA Times will give the Clippers some of the recognition they deserve (another local paper today dedicated a full third of a page to whether or not the Yugofloppian aka Divac will return to the lakers or not). It's also nice to see that EB is once again ready to go kick some a$$, and that Mobley has taken it upon himself to be a leader of the team.
Go Clippers!
