Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
I love ther argument the classic " There the Clipper", i'll just add to the argument who finally added veteran leadership with Cassell and Mobley and giving them clutch players at the end of games to improve on the huge amount of close games the Clippers lost and if they could have changed that last year the could have made the playoffs even with the injuries they had.

Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
IMO i think all power rankings are stupid besides the top 3 teams because those are so obvious but i mean besides the top 5 everything is in the air...Media does not know if a teams going to make a run or not ..If i had made this rankings id put the clips 12 13?

Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
I dont think these sportswriters watched any Clipper games last year. Starbury is right,we lost at least 10 games in the final minutes because we didnt have veteran leadership. Cassell is a proven clutch performer and Cat can even hit the big shot when needed. I love the classic argument,"its the Clippers." I hope they keep doubting us cuz when the Clips prove everyone wrong it will be even more gratifying.

Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
on nba.com they go to through each tv and give a decent analysis, they say that are defense is gonna keep us from the playoffs, and that Shaun might be the key(look at what Steve Nash said)

Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
Anyone who says "they are the clippers" should be considered idiotic.
Superstition has no place in proffessionalism.

Alright 3 higher than espn.
All these rankings are total crap, I just the Clippers come out and prove that.

I completely agree, it is a simple and stupid way of downing the team since they have nothing else to scrutinize. I lose respect to all writers who use that as an excuse.

Re: Speaking of no love for the clips...
Well, if it's just a site, then we can understand that the writer is just a writer.
But any "proffessional" writer has to know that being too opinionated in superstition is downright dumb. I mean, they should at least go so far as to analyze the way Sam could potentially get into a fight with Mobley rather than just saying... "they are the Clippers."
At least that is more respectable. I like how CNNSI does a little more of that though.

I know it requires basic reading ability to comprehend his statement, but I'm pretty sure that Mike was saying he'd rank the Clippers at 12-13.... Higher than the Lakers.
