I'm not really sure what gives anyone the idea that Cassell is going to start a few games, then the torch will just be passed on to Livingston.
If Shaun can be the backup all year, I think that's the best thing.
Why?
Because it means Cassell is producing and we're winning.
If those two things are happening, why would Shaun just be given the job?
I understand he's the future, but let's be real, the kid played 30 games last year in an injury plagued season, and he's STILL not 100%.
Like I said before, I'd like to see him play 70 games this year at about 20-23 mpg, then NEXT year, you give him the torch.
We're trying to make the playoffs this year and do some damage when we get there, a 19 year-old kid doesn't need to have the pressure on him to lead this team to do that, not when we got a guy like Cassell at his position.
