Brad Newley?

got this off of another Clipper forum:

Quote:
I have personal connections with Brad's family and recently the Clippers scouting staff have been calling him frequently and appear very interested. He is a 6"7 shooting guard who has great offensive talent and has been playing in the NBL for two years and is 20years old. Is it possible that we could bring him over before draft day? If we could this would be a smart move, young talented and plenty of potential, he plays as a penetrater who can still shoot a good NBA three-point percentage (averaging 18.25pts).

Here is a link to his profile:

http://nbl.com.au/default.aspx?s=cro...le&profile=205

Accomplished all this in his first year in the NBL:
Quote:
Was named the 2005 NBL Rookie of the Year and the Best Sixth Man … selected for the 2005 NBL All-Star Game and won the match MVP award after scoring 35 points (on 14-of-26 shooting), and adding four rebounds and seven assists

He's turning 21 on Feb 18th in 2006 and if this has any sense of truth, who'll be waived, or how will we get him if at all?

Re: Brad Newley?

i dont know how we could draft him before, unless we waive someone and he will sign with us as a free agent. i have heard from different places that the clippers and spurs are teams are interested in him, saying that he could be drafted in the 2006 draft. if timberbwolves make the playoffs we could get him, which could help are bench scoring. however it all depends if the clippers re-sign wilcox or it may be better to get a big man. o ya what i have heard about him is that he is plays somewhat how dwayne wade plays.

Re: Brad Newley?

hes not old enough to be signed as a FA is he? Not sure where he would fit in with the team with korolev. weve got our starters signed for years. Our 6th man ross signed for a couple more years, our SF signed for a few years (singleton), weve got livingston who can play many positions as with ewing, not sure where that would leave this guy.
