The Kaman Chronicles
Right after tonight's game against the Bobcats Matt and Ralph interviewed Chris Kaman. Throughout the course of the interview Kaman mentioned that he has a radio show called The Kaman Chronicles on 1570 The Ticket, a sports station here in the LA area. I'd never heard of this, but I'm wondering if anyone else here on the board has, or knows at what time the show might be on?
By the way, it was nice to hear Kaman upbeat and in clearly high spirits after the game. It sounds from some of the things said like he really does hate to not do his best during a game, and that he wants to do better every time he gets back out on the floor.

Re: The Kaman Chronicles
I'm not jumping on Kaman's jock because of one good game versus a banged up Bobcats team...
When we're in the playoffs, we're not going to be playing the Bobcats or Bobcats caliber teams, and it's against those teams where Kaman is a pure scrub.

Who said anything about "jumping on Kaman's jock?" I just asked about his show, namely does anyone know at what time it's on? And while I am a fan of his, and his desire to get better, I'm the first one to admit that he has to work on being more consistent, and by the way if you read my post on the game's thread, I say that although it's nice to see both he and Brand get this type of game, it'd be better if he builds on it.

Re: The Kaman Chronicles
Come on, to be fair to Chris he has had some of his best games against the better teams and players in the League. I don't know where you'd be able to look at the game logs from the past three years but I know I'm right about this, if anything he seems to do worse against scrubs. And remember whenever they are playing Duncan, KG, Dirk, Rasheed, Jermaine O'Neal and most of the best 4's and 5's in the game it is Kaman who guards them defensively, not EB. They want to keep EB out of foul trouble but Chris is also athletic enough to stay in front of them when his mind and energy is right.
Chris has some giant flaws to his game right now, most of which are mental, and the gods know how incredibly frustrating it is on those nights he is lost out there but we all see the talent, skill and energy he plays with at times and he obviously wants to become great, I think it gets him in trouble, trying to be too perfect and thinking too much out there.
Like it or not Kaman is one of the most important players on this team and especially with the injuries now, some of these games are going to be won or lost based on how well Chris plays.

Re: The Kaman Chronicles
I sent him an email of the "Bench Kaman" thread and he responded like he did tonight. I am just kidding but great to see him have a great game even against a depleted team.

Chris Kaman added 22 points and a career-high 22 rebounds for the Clippers, who snapped a five-game road losing streak by dominating the boards and grabbing every loose ball possible. It got to the point where Kaman was fighting Brand -- not the Bobcats -- for rebounds.
"I was trying to get to 25 but Elton kept taking them all," Kaman said. "Elton started going crazy and blocking shots and taking my rebounds. So I was a little bit upset with him. We're not on good terms."

I like that ... it gives more of an insight into Chris' personality. No wonder the guys like him; he does have a funny personality. Sounds like something Shaq would say.
