random thought

i hate to admit it but i really dont want the lakers to make it to the playoffs(something in me just dont want them to, i dont understand it). i just want to ask you guys your thoughts on...hmm letting utah and hornets win games and let them catch up to the 8th spot? just asking..

I'd have to disagree. I'd love to see the Clip square off against the Lakers in the playoffs (if possible). It'll be fun to see the two LA teams playing in the post season. Even though all the years of Lakers success coupled with all the years of Clippers mediocry (or even worse) has always left most residents of LA looking at the Clippers as second best or a joke, I don't relish in the fact that the situation is reversed (though its perfectly understandable how Clips fans might want to gloat right now, just like Lakers fans rubbed Lakers success in Clips' fans' faces). I'd rather see a strong Clippers team beat a strong Lakers team- I'd rather see a true rivalry.

And no team should ever throw games.

The one fear I have is both teams making the playoffs and the Lakers winning as many games as the Clippers or more (since both will be underdogs to make it out of the first round). Then Laker fans can say they still had a better season even though it may be the Clips' best year ever...
