Dunleavy Should Be in Mix for Top Coach, Baylor Says

Quote:
Dunleavy has also had a major role in player-personnel decisions while working closely with General Manager Elgin Baylor, who says the Clippers' third-year coach should receive consideration for the NBA's coach-of-the-year award.
Quote:
"When you look at the injuries we've had, and where we're at, you have to give a lot of credit to Mike and his staff," Baylor said recently. "The team has played well, and that starts with the coach."

He has done a good job but I dont like his rotation down the stretch. For example, we were getting massacred by the Spurs last night and he kept EB in there even though we had no chance of winning. EB's knee looked like it was hurting and Dunleavy continued to play him. He needs to rest the starters down the stretch so they are fresh for the playoffs. ALso. Cat should not have played last night as well. He was gimping around the court all night. WHy not give Ewing and Singleton some minutes and rest our starters. Dunleavy is more suited to be our GM

Not after last nights game. A coach at any level needs to adjust to the other team if one aspect of them is just killing you. Why could dunleavvy not just have his players stick the guys in the corners? That was embarrasing. I put that on the coach.

Dunleavy does at times amke some questionable calls but with the Hornets looking like they won't make the playoffs, Dunleavy is the favorite I would say. I think everyone would agree it might be better if he was GM, I agree but with him as coach and his ideas he is like the GM. Hopefully Baylor retires some time soon.

Agreed yams...i was at the game and the spurs just got wide open looks for their 10 made 3 pointers...giving up 2 instead of 3 would have made the game closer and maybe in reach mentally...those 3 pointers just demoralize a team and takes away any hope and momentum...i was hoping to see ewing in there cuz he couldn't have done any worse defensively but poor james was relegated to the dnp bench in civies...heck, even waltaa would have made a positive impact.
