Less than 24 hours after the end of the season, the lobbying begins and Sonics forward Rashard Lewis expects to work the phones this summer in an attempt to sway the top free agents into considering Seattle.
He has the phone number of Andre Miller, a restricted free agent this summer, on speed dial. Miller is considered one of the top point guards on the market behind Jason Kidd and Gary Payton and will likely be wooed by Utah and possibly San Antonio.

"I'm sure I'll do a lot of recruiting," Lewis said yesterday. "I talked to Andre after the Clippers games and he liked the way our team looked and he said he's thinking about taking a look at us.

"Me and him are good friends. I played in the Goodwill Games with him. So I'm sure I'll be talking to him this summer, and just a number of guys that this organization is looking at. That is if they want me to talk to them."

Even better if he signs with Seattle. They can't offer much more than the MLE, and after he signs an offer sheet with Seattle the Clipps can match and ship him off to Utah and not need to even take on a salary...I love that scenario.

I really dont see why all Clippers fan want to get rid of Dre so fast..He is a really good PG he just having a off season once we get are new coach and maybe some player that are team player and dont worry about them self he will be good..

LOL, I knew that was hard to understand.... I disagree with minor changes andre wont be any better on this team. He doesnt fit the style. He needs his own set of circumstances for him to play well, and there non-existent in clipperland. He'd be much better off in Utah

Miller stunk the place up this season. He doesnt know how to shoot very well, but he seems to love pulling up & shooting mid range jump shots. Im sick of everyone saying that he was just having an off season. Besides all the injuries the Clippers had, I blame their disappointing season on Miller's shoulders. I cant wait till him and Kandi are gone.

u gys just dont know how mych talent u have on ur team. sterling should just sign a couple of good veterans and get a ring!

signing vets like eddie jones(with half the salaray he's being paid) or some other mentor to keep the kids on track and make use of their talent.

the cilps have more talent tha indiana, btu they miss the veterans over there like reggie miller, tim hardaway and JO who's been int he league for a while.

Andre is restricted. I don't think Sterling would just let him walk. He may want to do a sign and trade but who will the Sonics part with that LA would want? Since Kandi is gone, maybe Vitaly???
