we might be able to get him for maggette straight up but if we threw in Rebraca or Williams (they need a big man) we could get him for sure.

I'm sure Memphis would want more then Maggette. Something like Gasol + Jones for Maggette + Kaman + Future 2nd I'd do. Then, Clippers waive N;Dong and sign a 2guard like Rush or someone to provide instant offense off the bench to replace Corey.

I'm bored so I explored this further and I found that this works under RealGM:

~Maggette, Kaman or Livingston for Gasol

If they wanted Livingston, I guess they'd have to bring in another team and make it a triangle transaction.

Mobley + Kaman + a 2nd rounder seems pretty fair and probably works out salary wise. Theres not much point in keeping Kaman, because he's not exactly explosive enough or a refined enough player to be really effective off the bench... and it's not like he's going to get any time at all ahead of Brand & Gasol.

I'm one of those people who's against separating Ross & Maggette, they may technically be in the same position, but when they play together, i think their offense + defense combines to be extremely effective.

Any trade offer coming out of Los Angeles will have to include either Elton Brand or Kobe Bryant. Literally no one else. Since obviously neither LA team will be willing to give those pieces up, Pau Gasol will not be playing in Los Angeles anytime in the near future.

You can't get a guy like Gasol for scraps, fun as it might be to hypothesize.

Have to agree, so no way will Pau come to the Clippers unless he personally demands it and puts West in a position where he has to take the highest offer.

But if Pau does end up being delt, he'll go to the Eastern Conference, not the West. West knows not to deal a star player to the same conference, unless he gets a GREAT offer for him

As great a player Pau is, I'd rather not have him taking touches away from EB. EB's play is close to superstar level, I think he need more complimentary players to him, not someone to surpass him. That's why I feel AI, PP, or Pau or any of the superstar trades is doing a disservice to EB.

Since when did Pau become a ballhog? Sam Cassell gave himself more touches than he probably should've had, no one complained...

And Elton is the type of player who wouldn't care how many points he got, as long as the Clippers dominated the paint.
