Player Review: Quinton Ross
Final Score: 7.7
Stats: 5.2 PPG | 2.3 RPG | 1.1 APG | .9 SPG | .4 BPG | 46.7% FG | 20% 3PT | 78.2% FT | .41 TO's | 2.2 Fouls | 21 Minutes Per
Ross does so much for us, so much that isn't shown up on the stats. He is our only real dependant defender when it comes to Tony Parker, Kobe Bryant, Gilbert Arenas, etc., and can hit the open jumpers. At times, it seems as if he can be a nice slasher to the bucket, if given the chance. Along with that, he is one of our hustlers, one of the few people who gave 100% on the court every night it seemed, and due to that, I have to give Q a nice 7.8/10 score.
Average Score: 7.7
People Rated: 9
Other Player's Ratings:
Tim Thomas: 7.286
Chris Kaman: 6.125
Cuttino Mobley: 8.15

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
8/10
Ross does all the dirty work and he hustles. He doesnt score much. Given the wide open looks, he usually knocks them down. He should work on his range a little. He provides good defense, not Bruce Bowen type of D, but above average D.
For the price we pay for him, I give him 8/10.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
7.5/10
he did wat he normally does which is do hustle plays and play good D. I really like him as a player but he hasnt gotten much better since being with the clippers he should be a better shooter by know especially from 3.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
Same thing as kaman. Based on what ross made last year, hes a 10/10. Based on my expectations from a part time starter, then maybe 6/10. I wanted to see him improve a la bobby simmons, and i just havent seen that much improvement. Granted, his defense you cant improve, but i want to see his offense improve...hes got the skills...remember, he was a big time scorer in college and over seas. And i think he has the most underrated leaping ability on the entire team. (there were times where he would have singleton like put back dunks that made you go, "where did that come from?")

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
q showed signs of not being a liability on the offensive end, he drove to the hoop, but he didnt do it often enough, and it seemed like this year he didnt shoot as a good a percentage as last year
but really for his salary, and on the defensive end, he is a keeper lets see how much he works on other aspects of his game this off season

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
I give him a 9 because almost every night he is assigned to the other teams best player and is solely responsible in trying to stop him. He doesn't have an easy job, as I am sure constantly shadowing the best player can be very tiring which could be a reason he doesn't do as well offensively. I like him as he is a hard worker and goes out there and does his best to help the team and never complains. It would be real nice to see him become a lot more aggressive on the offensive end, we all know he can make an open jumper and he has some he can take it to the hole with some authority. With this upcoming season being a contract season maybe he does step up big time offensively.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
I'm going to go with a 9.5, simply because he seems to be the only player other than Sam Cassel that hits a clutch shot.
Everytime he's open and in midrange, he drains the shot. He'd get a 10 if he finds his 3 pt range.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
I have to dock him 1 point for being a part of the Maggette fiasco, and another point for being one of the guys that gets minutes over James Singleton.
Adjusting for that, I give Q a 6/10. I think he's a talented defensive stopper who can play offense when he's confident, but he wasn't nearly as good this last year as he was two years ago.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
2 People posted without giving a rating...this is going to be done tonight, I fell behind because I wasn't able to get on for more than 5-10 minutes, so I want to move this quicker to finish it before the draft.

Re: Player Review: Quinton Ross
I'd give him a 6.5, overall he's still excellent defensively, but has shown little to no consistent improvement on the offensive end.
There's also a lot of nights where he gets minutes over Singleton/Maggette and really doesn't hold his own in overall play. Unlike guys like Bruce Bowen, Ross isn't an offensive threat from anywhere on the floor, so while he bothers the opposing star's offense, it allows the other team's star to cheat on defensive end.
He absolutely has to find a shot he can consistently knock down, otherwise Brand/Maggette/Cassell will keep drawing double teams, and his effect will be negated.
