Re: Clips interested in C Webber
The Clippers don't need anymore washed up, over the hill players anymore. This team is already too old. We need an inject of some young talented players that are being overlooked, like Charlie Bell and Andray Blatche.
Enough with the front office thinking that if they apply some band aids(older vets) to this team that its going to be a championship contender, because its not, 2 years ago yes but not now. this team is going to be stuck in neutral for the next 5 years if they keep thinking like this. I get a feeling that Dumbleavy and Baylor feel that the Clippers are a slight tweaking away from being an elite team and are still looking at how they did in the 2005-2006 season. Guess what? The West is twice as better than it was 2 seasons ago and there are a handful of teams that leaped right over the Clippers, like the Rockets, Jazz, Warriors and the Nuggets and not one that fell behind the Clippers.
Either make a serious move(such as a ****ing trade)that shows the league and the fans that you are serious about getting to the next level(like what Boston, Denver and hell even the Knicks did) or blow this **** up. Because this "we'll stand pat with what we got because we almost got to the Western Conference Finals in 2006" **** is getting old.
And even though we should have traded Livy when we had the chance to(who with Maggette would have got us almost any player in the league not named Kobe, LeBron or Dwayne) we still have some assets like our picks, Sota's pick, Maggette and Cassell's expiring contracts, and Big Sofo's rights.
