Clips interested in C Webber
According to Hacksaw on AM 570, the Clips are trying to get in the Webber sweepstakes. Hey, C Webb is better than nothing!

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Hacksaw has no credibility, unless he's reporting it from elsewhere?
I don't get this rumor at all either...? Clips don't need an injury prone PF who lacks motivation. And Webber wants a championship contender.

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Hmm, if this is true, and we do ink Webber, I think we can stay in the playoff picture well enough until Elton returns, then Webber and Thomas will be our main backup bigs. Cassell - Mobley - Maggette - Webber - Kaman with Knight - Ross - Korolev? - Thornton - Thomas - Williams - Davis on the bench under contract as is and the possible inkings of Jordan/Diaz/Conroy, we can have ourselves a nice line-up to stay in the playoff hunt

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
by the way at this point id like to have Corey stay and hope he gives us a 20+ point a game production during the majority of the season...if he plays and SHOOTS like he does whens hes hot i dont think we will be in such horrible shape...BUT EVERYONE NEEDS TO STEP UP

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Oh yeah, anyone have an update on PJ Brown? Clippers were also interested in him. Both him and Webb would be solid choices to keep us floating until Mr. Consistency returns and would provide solid depth up front which we will need, mainly if we make the playoffs.

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Thats cool that the Clippers are interested in Webber. Not sure though that Webber would come here, I believe he wants a ring. I see him signing with the likes of the Mavs and Pistons.

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Hell no! Why in the hell would we want C Webb? He is on the down part of the career and Id rather give someone else a shot at playing time. Just say NO. Damn we are desperate.

Playoff hunt? You are delusional. We might be one of the worst teams in the West w/o EB

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Clipperblog.com reports that the Clippers are looking at Josh Powell too. He's yound, but I think would be a good fit. Just another candidate.

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
Any body that thinks C Web is even considering the Clippers is smokin some good stuff. He wants a ring. He'll likely sign with a contender like the Mavs, Pistons, Celtics or Suns. The front office should stop wasting their time and turn their attention to someone reasonable, like Andray Blatche or Powell

Re: Clips interested in C Webber
if offered 10 million to play for the clippers or 1 million to play for san antonio or boston, or dallas, etc. etc. hed probably take the 1 million. Hes not even a local guy. Dont know why the clippers are wasting their time on him. But i guess thers the old addage, at least theyre trying.
The fact that they are looking for a bigman as i suspected, makes the PG race that much more crucial as its looking more like it will be only one of the youngons making the roster.
