Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley said Friday he will make his first exhibition game appearance Saturday. Mobley said he expects to play no more than 15 minutes. Until this week, Mobley had been limited in practice because of a strained left calf muscle.
Well, I'm thinking it's going to closely resemble the last meeting between these two...hate to say it, but I'm not too hopeful about a Clippers victory tonight.

Al thornton is tearing phoenix a new one, he has 16 points in the first half. He's hitting 16-18 footers and threes (2-2) Mike Smith said, "he had Shawn Marion looking around for help!"
Clippers LEAD 67-51 at the half!!!
Guys, i think we might have a darkhorse for ROY!
Great game by Thornton who ended up with 23 points on 8/14 shooting and 4 rebounds. Maggette and Dickau had good games Maggette went for 19 points and 8 rebounds and Dickau went for 13 points and 8 assists.
Btw if the Lakers win tonight they play the Clippers tomorrow which means the game would be on tv.

I love to say I told you so, so I'll say it...I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Al Thornton is the "liq? (a.k.a. steal) of the draft.
Not all of you doubted but you know who you are...
Look for Al to be a top contender for the R.O.Y. award...
Some of you even let Hollinger mess with your head and started to
believe that Al was a bust...
The sky is falling!!! The sky is falling!!!...hahahaha!!!!!!
Pathetic...and by the way, Javaris Crittendon looks good too.
But I'm pretty sure that some of you labled him a bust too.
I don't watch the Lakers that often but I'll watch J. Critter...
The Clips and the Lakers have two of the best rookies in this draft.
L.A. basketball is going to be very competitive for along time...
I told you that too...vada
yeah, remember when this was a topic?

Thornton was given NO chance to prove himself! Now, all these same doubters are already claimin' Thornton is only getting the opportunity because Brand is injured, completely ignoring the fact that the dude is extremely talented/skilled in the first place! By the end of the season, if Maggette and Brand opt out, we'll probably be building around him. Not too bad of a pick, in my opinion!
Were calling out ROY hopefulls based on preseason? Come on guys. lets wait until a couple months of the regular season first. Heck, remember how singleton had double doubles in his first REGULAR season games, and yahoo had him as the top rookie in the league? lol. We know what happened there. Lets see how all the rookies do before we make predictions. Most think it will be durant just because hes about the best player on a terrible seattle team, but im not sure he can adapt to the nba THAT fast. we will see.
As far as thornton, just like many said, the only way he will be assured of playing time is if there is a major trade, or major injury. And we have the major injury, so i dont know why people are saying i told you so. No matter what happens, at the time it was the wrong decision. Just like if portland had picked durant, no matter what happened to oden, that would have been the wrong decision at the time.
Things might work out due to circumstances, but its not like the clippers were like...hmm..brand is going to bust his achilies, so lets get thornton.
If thornton can be at least 70% as good as maggette, which is a long shot (hed probably have to average what, 15 points+ to do that?), i think we have a better chance at trading maggette at the all star break, instead of loosing him fornothing. So i hope thornton does succeed come regular season. It will be good for the team's short and long term hopes if we can trade maggette for value.

yeah, i guess calling out ROY before the season starts is JUST as bad as calling out someone's CAREER before he plays even ONE game! Great Logic!!!
