hopefully he has kept the weight down, but i dont see how, just by riding a bicycle. Most of his progress two years ago came after loosing all that weight, and getting more fit in the offseason.
Im really pulling for him to make a miraculous recovery, so that he opts out and we get the free cap space next year. I dont think hes the right guy to give a long term max deal for here, and i dont think this is the right team for him either. Love him, so i wish him the best, and i think if he goes to the east on a team with an established star, he will go far in the playoffs for the first time in his career.
Who knows, perhaps some kind of sign and trade with the cavs for varejao and others? A Brand/LBJ combo in the east would give boston a run for their money next year, and i think a varejao type PF would be best for our team, since kaman has emerged..someone who doesnt need the ball all the time.
But i digress as usual...achilies rupture is no joke. If brand is playing this year, despite everyone expecting him back by Feb, ill be shocked.
