Q's Key's To The Game:
1) Hit jumpers. With teams now tripling Chris, he can't do much, so whenever anyone has a jumper, they need to take it, and hit it.
2) Q on Tony. We need him to be a roadblock and really slow down Parker.
3) Thornton. Might not be a key to winning, but I hope to see another big game from Al.
Q's Quote:
Let's Go Clippers, Let's Go!

Re: GT: Clippers Hosting Spurs 1/06
if we had the team we had the 1st game of the season (not even including EB n Livingston) i think we could have beat the spurs.....they never seem to impress me, sorry teams usually stay close with them and even hold leads ,but at the end just choke them away (the Knicks tonight were another example) if the Clippers can MAKE SOME ****ING Js and a couple 3s, dont give em 2nd chance points...i say we have a shot

If everyone was healthy like they were in the first 4 games of the season, I have little doubt in my mind that we could have been no more then 5 games out of the 8th seed at the moment and have taken 4 games in which we had lost, putting us at 14-16. We're 7 games out of the 8th seed right now, seems like so much more then that, and if we can just somehow string together a 3/4 game win streak, cut that 7 games to about 5, I'm going to have slight hope for this season if EB is able to return.

Forwards Tim Thomas and Aaron Williams participated in some limited contact work Friday and will be evaluated by Powell today. Thomas has missed the past four games because of a sprained left knee, while Williams has been unavailable to play since suffering a sprained left wrist Dec. 17 at practice.

It was a sight for sore eyes . . . and sore ankles, knees and elbows.
Forward Tim Thomas stood beyond the arc at Saturday's practice making three-point shots and forward Aaron Williams plugged the middle.
Both will probably be available to aid a depleted front line today when the Clippers play host to the San Antonio Spurs in a matinee game at Staples Center.

If we were healthy with brand, I don't think we'd even be saying anything about not being healthy like this.

Parker - Finley - Duncan - Horry - Bowen
vs
Cassell - Ross - Kaman - Thornton - Maggette
Tip-off is controlled by the Spurs, who'll also have the ball in the 4th

Re: GT: Clippers Hosting Spurs 1/06
Time-out taken by the Spurs with 5:58 remaining in the first quarter as the Clippers and Spurs are tied up at 10 a piece. Clippers are playing pretty solid, but can't give the Spurs any 2nd chance points and need to crash the boards themselves. I just want to see how long this team can stick with the Spurs.
And Lawler is really something else, made me chuckle when talking about Tony, said "Tony's desperate wife is in the building"

Re: GT: Clippers Hosting Spurs 1/06
Time-out on the floor as Clippers lead 18-15 with 2:54 remaining in the first period of the game. Kaman has been playing solid thus far with 8 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks, but just picked up his second personal, so Josh Powell should be the one checking in for him. Giving Duncan a huge advantage in the post. Clippers are just scoring in the point at almost what seems like will, so they need to keep doing that and not try to chuck shots. Let's Go Clippers!

Re: GT: Clippers Hosting Spurs 1/06
At the end of one, Clippers not only sticking in with the defending champions, but leading them 24-21. Not much you can say about the Clippers in this game, as their playing solid with good ball movement, crashing the boards. Communication on defense can be better at times, but like I said, they are really doing well. Glad to see Knight hit a jumper along with Thomas getting back on the court. Hopefully he can hit a few shots

Re: GT: Clippers Hosting Spurs 1/06
Time-out on the floor with 7:52 remaining in the half. Clippers are really in sync and lead 35-27. Tim Thomas is really showing no sign of rust, as is Manu for the opposing side. On top of that, Timmy might have stopped Parker from picking up a technical foul on the play right before the time-out.
Josh Powell is impressing me thus far in the game. I think us Clipper fans were too harsh on him. The guy hasn't had much playing time to get comfortable playing with this team or learning how the team plays. His hustle is something I won't mind keeping around next season.
