i dont think he will play for a while barring injury. Cassell will get all the PG minutes, and brevin knight, who supposedly can play in the games will get the backup minutes. Even if one of them goes down, i forsee dickau getting the minutes. Diaz is only for emergency since he is a young guy. Now, if we had gotten a scrub like doug christie, luke jackson, richie frham, that guy would be getting minutes over established players right away like dunleavvy always does. lol

It would be interesting to see Diaz at SG along with an active PG. That way, even though all of our point guards are mending injuries, we'll still have ball handeling because Diaz can bring it up the floor.

IMO, Diaz and Brevin Knight would make a good 1-2 combo. You've got the assists and defense in Knight, but you also have the offense, shot, and desire of Diaz. They'd compliment each other well.

possibly. if we had livingston i could see it, but with knight, im not sure dunleavvy would have two guys around 6 feet tall in the back court unless absolutely necessary.

I always thought we should have kept diaz instead of signing knight because, i felt dicau was an adequate backup, knight cost like 4 times as much as diaz, and unlike knight, diaz could have been emergency SG as well, something we havent had all year (unless you count frahm).

When cassell went down with injury, im sure dunleavvy would have done his usual signing of some scrub from the 90's. From what i saw in college, and in summer league games, i think that diaz is better/has a higher upside than either lionel chalmers or daniel ewing. Granted, thats not saying much, but we ARE talking about 3rd string PG/SG. Dont know why chalmers and ewing got chances but diaz didnt.

I can see Diaz starting, I don't know why, just can. Could be because we don't want to risk injury to Sam I Am.

Hell, Orlando is a team he might be dealt too, so for all we know, they are discussing some sort of trade at the moment.
