Re: GT: Clippers @ Hornets1/25
It was raining 3's from the Hornets the entire night, big reason why the Clippers lost. Thornton was bad which is very disappointing since he has had a good run lately. Maggette, Mobley, and Cassell did well while the rest of the team didn't. At least Ross finally scored.

Re: GT: Clippers @ Hornets1/25
Interesting how ross still starts. yet, when our perimeter defense is sucking, and the other team is raining down 3's, our best perimeter defender, ross, is glued to the bench.
Anyone count how many 3's were made by maggette's man today? Wow. Part of the blame i put on the coach. When someone is getting lit up, you switch it up on defense.
People were not getting the ball well to kaman tonight, nor getting open when he was double teamed. Kaman is no vlade divac, if hes doubled, and his teammates just stand around, thats a turnover waiting to happen at times.
Games like tonight is why im happy im not jumping the thornton bandwagon yet. If he has a good game, ill give him props for that, but im still not ready to talk like hes some future star yet, nor that hes the SOLE reason to give up maggette. Hopefully he will put together a long streak of good games so that we can all say that, but hes just too incosistent now to annoint him our starting SF of the future. Honestly, as with darius miles and singleton, i like him more as an undersized PF than as our SF.
Mobley was on fire for periods tonight, as was thomas. But what killed the clippers is perimeter defense, which has been somewhat of a theme the last few years. Jaric wasnt a starting quality PG, but thats one thing we lost when we traded him away.

Jan 25 During Wednesday’s game, Clippers owner Donald T. Sterling was annoyed that Quinton Ross, who has been an ice-cold shooter in January, was playing instead of Thornton, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Recommendation: From a fantasy perspective, Sterling’s irritation is a good thing. Clearly, he wants Thornton in the lineup, and given the fact Sterling owns the team, coach Mike Dunleavy may want to oblige him. The owner and coach have been at odds recently, thanks to Los Angeles’ 13-25 record. In his last four games, Thornton, a rookie, is averaging 26.3 minutes, 16.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. In that same span, Ross and Tim Thomas, Thornton’s primary competition in the playing rotation, are shooting a combined 32.1 percent.

Re: GT: Clippers @ Hornets1/25
At least Al's getting to the FT line a lot more recently, and knocking them down. His percentage is now over 70% for the year, where it should be. He's 23-27 (85.2%) over the last four games, definitely a good sign.
