who do you want to see coach the clippers
i know i dont frequent these forums as much or follow the clippers as much as i would like. but every now and then when im lucky enough to see a game or catch up on a few threads on this board, there is always something stupid about what dunleavy is doing.
so here comes the fun. who would you like to see coach our clippers instead of dunleavy?

Is any other team interested in Larry Brown? I won't mind him at all

I think Rick Carlisle would be a perfect coach for the Clippers..

Bring back LB.

Re: who do you want to see coach the clippers
Under any circumstances Id take larry brown. If somehow Elton Brand opted out of his deal, allowing us to put thornton at PF, and resign maggette, then Id like to get someone who knows the phoenix up tempo system, i think that would be perfect for a kaman/thornton/Maggette lineup.
I wish could have pried away phil jackson when he wasnt sure he wanted to stay. Look what he did with a terrible laker squad the last few years, imagine what he could have done here. But now with a lineup that rivals boston's for best talent for starters, hes going to stay in lakerville for years to come.

Re: who do you want to see coach the clippers
I want no part of LB. He will get bored after 2 yrs and then we will have to start over again. I like Carlisle but I wish we would have gone after Adelman.

Count me in for LARRY BROWN. He wouldn't leave us until he got the team to the Finals; he believes he has something to prove after the Knicks fiasco --- He would stay as long as he is physically able. He may be hard on the players but they RESPECT him and his historical success, he has that way of connecting with themn. Dunleavy lost the respect of this team when he tried everything to get rid of Corey so that he could bring his son here, tried to sabotage Wilcox' future and then wouldn't play Singleton. They had to wonder what he would do to them and so why should they play for him? That respect can never be regained, IMO.
RICK CARLISLE, I like him as a coach from a distance. But, I can't help but question why he keeps getting fired, and that leads me to believe he is another version of Dunleavy.
EDIT: Regarding age ... think of it this way, he's about the same age as Phil Jackson who has a rocking chair on the sidelines and since they both have had hip surgery, I see nothing wrong with Larry having his own rocking chair on the sidelines if necessary

Re: who do you want to see coach the clippers
Rick Carlisle? Hell no, he's an even worst offensive coach than Dunleavy and doesn't seem like he is the kind of coach that players respect for too long. That defensive, defensive, defensive preach gets old real quick, especially with a coach that can't find ways for his teams to be successful on the offensive end.
I personally wouldn't want Larry Brown because he's egotistic and only wants whats best for him. And he's too much of a dictator whose message doesn't really get through to players anymore. But I see how a number of you guys would want him because he is a really good coach, but there is a reason he doesn't have a job right now and is always at odds with the teams he's with.

Re: who do you want to see coach the clippers
We completely blew it, Stan Van Gundy & Rick Adelman were both available. Now both are employed and have teams with exactly double the wins Dunleavy has.
