lets say we get the #7 pick this year...who is a reasonable player to pick? obviously rose and besley are out of the question....maybe augustine? or gordon?...seems like there are a lot of good pg or sg in the draft...(we better not get another forward
With the 7th pick, we would probably be in position to pick Bayless, Mayo, Batum or Augustine. I think Gordon would probably be a top 5 pick for sure.
Personally I would want Bayless. He's a combo guard kind of in the mold of Monta Ellis who can score at will, which is something the Clippers need from the backcourt position. I don't know the exact stats, but the Clippers are probably in the bottom 5 in the league in terms of backcourt scoring.
If we can't get Bayless, I would like to trade down and get another pick/player and take Augustine or Russell Westbrook.

If we get 7th, I see Gordon not being available along with Bayless if he is to declare, which I doubt at the moment.
At 7, if Chase Budinger is available, I think we HAVE to take him unless Gordon/Bayless are there. It should be a toss-up between Chase and OJ in my honest opinion though. OJ has that killer instinct which we don't have anymore since Sammy's gone...but Chase is the perfect fit to Dunleavy's offensive "schemes".
If not, I'd love to trade down to get multiple picks..IE: #7 and 09 2nd Rounder for #11 and #19. Take Collison/Augustin at #11 and Andrew Ogilvy at #19, unless Brook Lopez, Thabeet or Hibbert are to drop.

Danillio Galliri I won't mind, but not if Chase/OJ are available. Nicolas Batum I want to stay away from..he has potential...but so did Korolev & Livingston
if dunleavvy is our coach we have to pick 7-10 budinger. Even if it might be a reach. I dont see anyone else around there that is a dunleavvy type player

Westbrook at #7 would be a mistake. I like the guy, but he would be wayyy to raw for the NBA, plus I doubt he declares, although I hope both him and Collison do so Holiday and Lee will own next year as freshmen.
And Westbrook starts alongside Collison, but no way should Westbrook start over Darren.

We already have Juice! From what I've heard, that's Thorntons nickname by the players.

Portland wasnt even one of the top 5 worst teams last year and they got the number 1 pick.
I really hope the Clippers don't draft Budinger. He ain't nothin more than a spot up shooter, who doesn't use his atlethic ability enough to make things happen off the dribble. He isn't that good of a ball handler and isn't aggressive at alot, I don't want anymore soft players who don't play with passion. Plus he is a defensive liability.
And lately his stock has been falling alot and I doubt he enters the draft anyway.
