What did i say a few weeks ago? There were two victories that REALLY we snatched from the jaws of defeat that we SHOULD have lost, and i predicted those two victories would cost us. And look what happened. Had we lost just those two games, guess what pick we would have had? Most likely number 3, with TWICE the probability to get the top pick percentage wise. (14% as opposed to 7%).

Now watch us get stuck with the number 5 or 6 or 7 pick, and no shot at beasley/rose/mayo.

Anyway, at least going into this offseason we have hope unlike last off season. We have hope that we can get the number 1 pick. We have hope depending on who opt out to have lots of cap space.

My question is, what are our odds for the draft? If im not mistake we are tied with new york, and have equal odds. That means we can get either 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, picks, and 8th depending on the tie breaker with new york, which i dont know.

We would've never passed up those teams, they were tanking way too hard.

Right on. I personally prefer the team play to its full capacity, hopefully in preparation for next season, rather than tank and still end up with nothing, like Boston did last year. If there's any sort of fairness in this world (fat chance!), the Heat won't wind up any better than 3rd in the lottery.
