is Kaman untouchable???
we always talk about getting rid of brand, maggette, whoever else, but we no longer mention kaman when it comes to trade talk....
is he untouchable???
he seems like our best tradable asset these days.....a legit 7 footer that plays offense and defense with youth and a great contract....relatively durable, and still has plenty of upside....
why not trade him for a top 2 pick???
for example, take a bad contract from miami+haslem+their first, for kaman and minny's pick.....
or we could give minny their future pick back + kaman for chris richard/craig smith /filler + this years first....
just throwing out some ideas.....
it would basically boil down to kaman to another team for their top two pick....so it would essebtially be kaman for rose or beasley....of course the trade would depend entirely on draft position.....

Re: is Kaman untouchable???
I wouldn't say he is untouchable. I think if the right offer came along the Clippers might bite, I think that goes with anyone on the team right now. However though I don't think a team will give up a top 2 pick in this draft for him.

Re: is Kaman untouchable???
Anything outside of the top 2 would be fair game.

Re: is Kaman untouchable???
that's the problem.....i think after the top two, kaman is worth too much to let go for a #3 pick.....
essentially we'd be getting brook lopez or mayo and i think kaman is more valuable than either one of those players...
stuck between a rock and a hard place....
and i know damn well that kaman is one of dunleavy's guys and would never trade him...especially for draft picks....this thread is purely for discussion....
i get the feeling that dumbleavy would probably refuse even a top two pick for kaman....

Re: is Kaman untouchable???
Yes, in answer to your question, kaman is untouchable. Dunleavvy and baylor have mentioned that in the press before, as well as sterling.
But untouchable is a relative term. if dallas was offering dirk, hes not untouchable. If orlando is offering dwight howard, etc. etc. but those things would never happen.

Re: is Kaman untouchable???
Why would anyone want to trade Kaman for an unproven draft pick? Given the history of this team with former picks, it's like you've somehow managed to find a good player, and now that you've paid as he developed from a good prospect to a good player you want to start all over again. I for one would rather we trade our pick for a player who can help right now. We have a good core, let's build around it, not break it up to find a new one.
