Player breakdown:

1. Wilcox- Backoff !!! Wilcox should not be traded, he is very similar to D Miles except he is a better post player and possibly a better shooter. Wilcox is valuable as a backup SF/PF and could be the difference in a matchup vs. the Kings:
Bibby-Dre
Christie-Q and Maggette
Peja- Odom and Maggette
Webber- Brand and Ely
Divac- Kandi
Jackson-Dooling and Jaric
Wilcox is the tipping factor. If the Clipps gel quickly, they can beat the Kings in at least the season series.

2. Maggette- just to valuable to trade. The guy works hard and is an efficiency expert. He averaged 11.3 points in lew than 26 minutes per game and he always plays great D. Maggette is trendously valuable in matchups vs. Kobe, T-Mac, VC, etc, and in the 3rd game of the Clipps/Lakers series Maggette dominated Kobe on both ends. He shut Kobe down and he scored 28 points and the Clipps won.....he shouldn't be brushed under Q.

3. Jaric- This is the one guy that should be traded but December 15 is the earliest he can be traded. Kiki Vanderweghe appear to be willing to wait for now, and the Clipps could get Posey, the Clipps pick (Den via Orl), and other considerations (and Posey would be traded to the Wiz for their 03 1st and something), and that's a great deal for a guy that the Clipps would have trouble working into the rotation. ....He's gone

4. Dooling- Leave him be. He will be an excellent backup and role player and keeps some excitement around. He's worked a lot on his upper body since his injury so look for him to be able to get a few minutes at SG also.

5. Odom- He's in the best shape he's ever been in and he's lengthened his vert by 4''. He's ready to play and will be an all-star. Give the guy some slack, even if he doesn't deserve it. And if he screws up Lebron is a nice guy to trade him for, and the threat of that alone will kepp LO in line.

6. Brand-no comment. Solid.

7. Kandi- Half the time he looks like Hakeem and the other half of the time like PAtrick Ewing now. He needs to work harder on his shot and get his % up from 43 to at least 47. Also he needs become more active, he's more athletic than every center except Dan Gadzuric and he should take advantage of it.

8. Pike- does what he does, shoot.

9. Dre- lets see how adjusts, but I expect 14 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

10. Ely- is willing to be D-specialist. Great fit in the WC. You can never have too much interior D.

11. Q-I hate his little punk-@$$ but he's a good scorer, but that's it. I'd like to say trade him but it wouldn't do any good right now, but maybe later.

13. Fowlkes-

14. Rooks-

15. Stith-

Wilcox is just like DMiles except he is about ten times slower than Darius. This is my main fear for when people are saying he should get as many minutes as Darius at the 3. Why trade Jaric? We haven't even seen what he can do and you are crying for Posey? He would be behind Q and Maggette at the 2 spot and is not that good anyways. I will never understand your hate for Q but other than that and the previously mentioned comments I more or less agree with you.

While Miles is definitely quicker up and down the floor, I wouldnt exactly say Wilcox is 10x slower.

Wilcox has excellent speed up and down the floor. In those workouts before the draft, I believe he turned in a Top 5 time up the court(might have been the 3/4 court). And that included guards, and this kid is a PF.

In some of the articles from the Knicks workouts and other places, Wilcox's speed up the court has been raved about.

So while he isn't faster or as fast as Miles, he's still got fantastic speed up the court.

And a little note on the people who think he can play some SF, since I am one of them. He's only going to play spot minutes there at best. Odom is going to be pushing 35 minutes at the 3 spot, and we have Corey behind him. Wilcox would only play it in spots. And I do think he could do it.

He's more athletic, agile, and he's quicker than SF's like Lamond Murray, so he could hang for a couple minutes IMO.

Re: Jaric

If you look I said to subsequently trade Posey not to keep him. Also I have seen Jaric play, many times, he's good but he can't fit in the rotation if Dooling AND Maggette are kept. Think about it, why would you basically throw away 2 or 3 1st picks for a 10th man? You wouldn't, that's why on December 15 Jaric should be a Nugget.
