why the clips should let odom go
1 - odom promises to be a disgruntled employee.
2 - spending 190M in 1 offseason is highly uncharacteristic of sterling.
and most importantly
3 - what to do with Q next year when he becomes a free agent. he'll get easy 50M offers, and the clips will have to let him go for nothing cause he'll never be a starter with odom on the team.
the core of brand, maggette, and Q is impressive. let go of Odom.

Sorry, but your reasons are ridiculous.
Odom is only saying he'll be disgruntled to encourage the Clips to not match. No matter where Odom plays, he will not be disgruntled. One of the biggest positives with Odom is that he can't stand losing ... He busts his *** on the court til the last whistle blows. He is not going to go half assed through things with the Clippers.
Who cares what is characteristic of Sterling? That is irrelevant to why Odom should be let go. Spending 120mill is uncharacteristic of Sterling ... yet, he still did it with Maggette and Brand.
And most of all the last one ... Q is not a significant part of this team. Q is a reserve that has been extremely inconsistent. Q should not have anything to do with Odom's future with the Clippers. It's like saying the team needs to worry about Keyon Dooling, so they should let Odom go. As of right now, if Q gets a 50mill offer from anyone, they are idiots and horribly overpaying. On the court he is selfish, struggles to put the ball in the whole consistently, and on defense he does nothing. Q is young, has the physical ability, and still has potential ... but to date, he hasnt proven anything near a 50mill contract.
A core of Brand, Maggette, and Q gets the Clippers in the middle of the lottery every year. Hardly something to get excited about.

It's easy to talk smack when it ain't YOUR money being spent. If I was an owner, I wouldn't have matched either. Odom is always hurt, can't control his marijuana use, and there's no guarantee, he'll ever live up to his potential. This is the same thing we hear everytime Sterling doesn't pay someone "what they want". ANSWER THIS PLEASE. What player, [that The Clippers didn't pay] EVER made us wish we did pay them???? Name one!

I'll put it like this... Management hasn't alway's picked the best talent available wit their abundance of #1st round picks... It's a gamble that we often lost... So when those #1st round picks rook contracts are up they bolt for more loot... Do I blame management for not give'n fat *** contracts to Brent Barry(95)..Mo Taylor(97)..Derrick Anderson(97)..Loy Vaught(90)..Benoit Benjamin(85)..Danny Manning(88)..Rodney Rodgers(93)..Soft Chew Kandi(98)..Reggie Williams(87)..Lamond Murray(94)..Bo Kimble(90)..Joe Wolf(87)..Ken Norman(87)..Hershey Hawkins(88)..Danny Ferry(89)..LeRon Ellis(91)..Randy Woods(92)..Terry Dehere(93)..Greg Minor(94)..Lorenzen Wright(96)..Brian Skinner(98) and Elmore Spencer(92)?... HELL NO... Do you?... The only moves I can say I was pissed bout since I been followin the Clipps(since birth-79-it seems) is Odom..McInnis..Pike..Miles and McDyess... Sorry for take'n this back to 85... But our picks have mostly been ****... Peace

Most of these guys you mentioned WERE indeed busts. But, when they cried about not getting paid, everyone agreed. Also, I've noticed, that Sterling does not pay for potential. Hence, Miles and Odom's depature. I ask you, what has Miles done since he left??? I suspect, the same will hold true for Odom.

No Clipps fans I know personally cried when the the cat's I mentioned left or mentioned wantin more loot... If so who cares... Their history... Miles and Odom are too early in their respective career's to judge... But we'll see... To be honest... Both Miles and Odom are prob better off wit their current teams... Jus my opinion... Peace
