My summer "wish list" for a Clipps point guard.
1) Bassy
2) Deron Williams - doubt he'll come out, but he'd be a nice fit
3) Stepp - can't knock the kid, he get's the job done
4) Felton
5) Garcia

Outside of Ben Gordon, I think he is the best PG prospect in college basketball.
He is 6'3, a great passer, good quickness, good defensive player and have a jumpshot. I called him Jason Kidd with a Jumpshot.

Deron is a balla, and his game is as well rounded as Kidd's during his college day's.. The only difference I see, is that Williams has a J right now!

I dont think Stepp will be much more than a decent back-up. I think the Clips should take Telfair then go and get a good veteran point like Damon Jones or Darrell Armstrong or if they could get McInnis back.

Nah, Stepp can flat out ball on both side's of the floor.. You won't have to wait a few year's to get quality play out of him.. I doubt that he'll go high in the draft, but who care's we've got 2 pick's!.. Don't get me wrong.. I'm with you on the Telifar choice.. But.. Let's be real, there's a high possiblity that he'll be off the board's by our pick.

2 first or do u mean 1 first and 1 second. Stepp would be a good 2 round pick if the clips didnt get a point with their first round pick.

1 first 1 second.. Stepp would be a good 2nd round pickup if he's still on the board.. And that I wouldn't have any prob's if we decided to pick 2 point's in the draft!.. I mean, Jaric could backup or start at the 2 depending on what happen's with Q and Simmons could backup the 3.

I think the clips need to get a vetran point guard like brent barry or trade to get van exel. There best bet is to make a run for crawford or get chris duhon from the draft.

I'll stop being a Clipps fan if they waste a pick on Duhon, when if all else fail's coulda picked Stepp.. I like Barry, but he doesn't think very highly of us after his first Clipps stint.. I don't see Van Ex coming here either, when he's hell bent on returning to Texas.. Which leave's us with lil choice, but to find our point through the draft.. That is, unless you believe in the Kobe rumor's!

What about Damon Jones he is playing great and they have Ford there so he wont get as many minutes once he is back.

Once again, Damon Jones is a very good back up pg, but We need a first rate pg here in Los Angeles. I dont know what quality pg's will be free agents this summer, but I would say that the draft is the best place where we can aquire a quality pg. Dont get me wrong, Damon Jones is a fine player, and I would like to have him on my team, but just not as the starting pg.

Why do they need Crawford? They have enough scoring options.

Bring in Damon Jones but get a young point in the draft so he could start and u have a good point for the games the rookie will struggle in.
