will it ever end....

each of these players are great in and of themselves, kobe does things better then TMac, and TMac does things better than Kobe..

i think it pretty much is even...no real winner

honestly laker fans, kobe didn't win 3 rings himself, if it weren't for shaq the lakers would have 0 rings right now..kobe is a great player YES, but without shaq he is no contender for 2nd best player in the league

He needed to do more of that. I agree, both players got bailed out by calls. The difference is that Kobe was getting hit on jumpers and T-Mac was driving to the hole or posting up. I didn't see Kobe posting up as much today.

So Shawn Kemp and Pat Burke weren't pulling Shaq away from the hoop in the game you saw?

The game I was watching Shaq was a good 10-15 from the hoop and much further from the action for most of the night.

Unless they were running a pick and roll with his man. We all know that is Shaq's achilles heel. He doesn't even attempt to show on pick and rolls. Which allows the ballhandler plenty of space to get off a shot.

Bibby showed that last year. T-Mac showed it in that game.

The Answer to Your Questions--after this there is no more debate

Kobe Bryant 2002 playoffs Game 4 v. Spurs. Spurs lead by one. The night before KB(not shaq) outscored the entire Spurs team in the 4th. He has the ball at the top of the key and loses it. Fisher recovers and it looks like Kobe couldn't perform magic for the second straight game. Fish misses the jumper and the rebound bounces high. Wait a second, kobe bryant jumps over the seven foot Tim Duncan and grabs the board. He puts it back up and in for the game winning shot and to ice the series. What a star.

Tracy McGrady 2002 playoffs Game 1 v. Hornets. Baron Davis of all people has been outplaying TMAC the entire game. Throughout the year players from the magic and from other teams have questioned TMACS ability to take a team on his back and will them to victory. If he wants to be the next Kobe Bryant he'll have to. He has his chance now with the clock winding down. He dribbles across the court. He is a star and just needs to put the ball in the hoop. He starts his move, but wait... out of nowhere Baron Davis strips the ball and the Hornets will win! Once again TMAC fails to win the game.
Later in the series Davis would continue to make huge plays while McGrady will remain answerless.

Kobe Bryant
Blazers Game 1- performed amazlingy and led his team
Game 3-hit a 3 to bring them back in it then made the pass that set up Horrys shot

Spurs: Game 1-comes back from a locker room injury to hit a the shot that puts the game out of reach
Game 3-Outscores SA over the entire 4th and LA wins
Game 4-look at top

Kings: plays heavy min. entire series while having lost 12 pounds to food poisoning. In one game(the only one he guarded him exclusively) he holds Mike Bibby to only 1 FG over the second half!! A display of his astounding def.
Game 7: plays the whole way. And at the end when the kings have the lead he grabs a board and takes it the length of the floor where he draws a foul and knocks down both freethrows.

Nets: Games 1 and 2 he defers to Shaq
Game 3: He is the man doing it all putting min. guarding everybody. And making an impossible shot in the closing seconds while Kidd is holding one arm and Martin is holding the other.

Game 4: similar to Game 3. Towards the end he nails a three w/ Martins hand in his face completely blocking his vision.

Granted he couldn't win w/o Shaq, but SHAQ COULDN'T WIN WITHOUT HIM. He wills a team to victory like only MJ could. He can do what no other player can do in the NBA RIGHT NOW. When his team needs a win in the playoffs (who cares about the reg. season) He delivers. 9 times out of ten he will go into the Zone and there is no body who can do a damn thing!

"That's what seperates Kobe from everyone else." -Greg Popovich

Great Post-To prove that Shaq can't win without him just look at Kobe's stats during their seven wins:

31 points
10 rebounds
8.5 assists
53% Shooting

Looking at the stats, it is obviously Kobe who is winning the games for us, not Shaq. Shaq COULDN'T win without Kobe.

its so funny how some say that Kobe rides Shaq to wins. That couldn't be further from the truth. Wilt post the stats from when the Lakers have won. Look at em' Thats basically a triple double shooting above 50%. That is spectacular!

by the way Wilt, I love that signature.
