Interesting but meaningless
Lamar is one of only two players in the NBA to be either first or second on his team in points, boards, assists, blocks and steals with Garnett being the other.
I know nobody cares, but is he the most versatile player in the league?

Re: Interesting but meaningless
Hes the only player in the league who could play 5 positions (and no, Garnett cannot play 5 positions)

Re: Interesting but meaningless
Yeah, I'd say Odom is the most versatile player in the league next to KG. Difference is that he's merely "good" at a lot of things, while KG is great at pretty much everything.

Re: Interesting but meaningless
Lamar is definitly the most versatile player in the league its crazy seeing him handle the ball with his size, I was watching a lamar mix tape he has some crazy handles, he grabs those boards like if he was a 7 foter, then we have those assist that make the team run the way it should. lamar can easily play just about every spot and be affective there as well. He's all ours so we should enjoy and embrace!

Re: Interesting but meaningless
I think Odom is more versatile than KG, but KG just does a lot better in certain categories. KG cant handle the ball like Odom and play point guard. But KG is light years ahead in defense and hes a better rebounder, but Odom is still a great rebounder. Lamar just needs to develop some killer instinct on both ends of the floor but he has the intangibles down-pat.

Re: Interesting but meaningless
Kobe is more versatile than Odom. Kobe can move off the ball well, shoot better than Odom from anywhere on the planet, finish better, handle better, play defense better and so on.
McGrady, LeBron, Garnett and more. Lamar Odom can do some things with the ball that most big men just can't do, and he has athleticism that most 6'10 guys don't have. He is a good passer, scorer and rebounder. That is the extent of his versatility, though. I guess he has statistical versatility. Still, I have to factor in how terrible he is off the ball, and how he isn't a good defender. Those are big aspects of the game, where he is not very good.
He has been playing good basketball lately though. Phil is starting to work wonders.
