Who will start at PG?
Smush Parker, Shammond Williams, Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar are the options...who do you think will/should start? I think it's pretty obvious that Sasha is a bench player, and Phil is unlikely to start a rookie, meaning that it's down to Williams or Smush.
Going further...do you think Smush or Sasha will be dealt before the season starts?

Re: Who will start at PG?
Kupchak already said that Smush will start. It was in this interview someone posted earlier.

Re: Who will start at PG?
Smush is the starter til someone takes it from him. Smush had a horrible series against the suns, but he was easily our third best player for the first 3rd of the season. He just needs to remain focused defensively.
Oh, and unless they're a throw-in, they don't have much value to be dealt anywhere.

Re: Who will start at PG?
Very unlikely Farmar will start so he's out of the equation because A.) He's a rookie and B.) As we all know, Phil is not too fond of newbies. I Also cant imagine Shammond Williams taking Smush's job, Smush is a better defender and has put it in more time to familiarize himself in the triangle. In addition Smush like any other player working for that big pay day is a contract player, he's vastly underpaid for his potential and production I could see him improving his game for that long term lucrative deal that he's always been saying. With two new point guards in the squad, Im expecting a much more aggresive Smush Parker this year to prove his worth among the rest.

Re: Who will start at PG?
Phil did some things way out of the ordinary last season, so I would not put it past him to start a rookie. Remember, Smush was essentially a rookie last season. However, I'm well aware that Farmar is probably nowhere near ready to unseat Smush at this time.

all it takes is a bad stretch for smush and an opportunity for jordan to step up... at least in my opinion.

Thats true , but we were really thin last season on the point guard spot, though Smush technically could be considered a rookie he was competing with guards basically on the same boat as he is, so Phil did'nt had a lot of option to begin with. This season is a bit different, Farmar is indeed a rookie fighting for a starting spot againsta veteran, although I believe in the long run, Farmar will be a better guard than Parker. Im not going to be surprised either if halfway through the season or at one point, Farmar somehow starts and Smush seats, he was described to have a great IQ when it comes to basketball and is disciplined, a intangible aspect that impresses coaches overtime.

Again, stop making assumptions. This Phil is not the same Phil from the championship years.
