.... And Phoenix is not a team that they want to look like
The Turnovers will eventually slow down and Kobe Bryant will get back into shape. The things that are a concern is the bench (What's up with Evans), The defense (through playing against the Sonics and Suns can make anyones defense look terrible), and Odom (The trade talks will come back if he continues this slide).
Just to continue on Odom.....Noone can now say that Odom does not score because he Kobe has the ball more. Odom was still the main ball handler with Kobe in the lineup and was still reluctent to post up in those games. Odom put himself in a situation where he is just a spot up shooter because when Kobe goes in the post, Odom can slash to the basket instead of always being on the perimeter. So the games have started out like this: Odom gets the ball at the top of the arc....passes it to the point guard who works a triangle play. Odom stays on the perimeter
the whole time while the ball is either passed back to him or in the post to Kobe. Odom takes a couple of perimeter shots, miss, and begins lose his offensive rythme. Instead of immediately going to the post or slashing, he begins to just pass and when he does decide to slash (Usually by the fourth quarter) he is out of rythme and misses shots or causes turnovers.
The Solution seems simple which is just 'Work the ball in the paint for a score for Odom on the first possession' but the transformation of mindset is still up to Odom.
