Artest?
Last season when Ron Artest asked to be traded the Lakers were talking with the Pacers.
It seems Artest is unhappy again. And the Clippers and Kings are discussing Artest for Maggette.
With the way the Lakers are playing, would you want Artest on this team? Who would you give up for him?

Re: Artest?
No way, wouldn't even give up shammond for him. He brings a negative presence, something we don't need now or ever.

Re: Artest?
It is a big NO, NO. I would have taken him last year, but now he has shown that he will never change. Artest likes to take a lots of bad shots.

Re: Artest?
Phil Jackson - Phil Jackson
Kobe Bryant - Michael Jordan
Lamar Odom - Scottie Pippen
Ron Artest - Dennis Rodman
Kwame Brown - Horace Grant (minus the outside J)
Luke Walton - Toni Kukoc (can go for tripledouble and can hit the outside shot)
Sasha Vujacic - Steve Kerr (we wish)
Maurice Evans - Ron Harper (No way, but there was no where else to put him)
Smush Parker - Jud Buechler (lol)
Aaron McKie - James Edwards (oldies)
Ronny Turiaf - Jack Haley (just the cheerleading part )
I would have said Chris Mihm = Luc Longley but he is out for the season...

Re: Artest?
would love artest to wear purple and gold...
but i just cant see the kings trading with the lakers
thats like the red sox trading with the yankees it will happen once every 100 years
assuming that the kings are willing to deal artest to the lakers... i think a package involving kwame, smush, and a first rounder will get it done
talentwise it sounds like a ripoff but i dont see the kings getting anyone better than kwame

HELL NO.
only thing that can keep artest straight is medication. i think his family has a history with mental illness, and it shows.

YES DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If all we had to give up is Mihm and Mckie...hell yeah.
Artest will complete the team even if he comes off the bench. Evans and Artest will make a scary defensive combo off the bench.
So DO IT (B)MITCH!!!!

Re: Artest?
For expiring contracts, Id do it in a second. But they would want Odom or Bynum (and filler), and thats to steap. Artest thinks he is a good shooter and a clutch player, and he really is just a great defender with decent offensive skills.
Im just glad that we never traded Odom for artest like so many people were speculating last season. Odom may not be the defensive presense Artest is, but he more than makes up for it and then some by being a great rebounder, decent shooter, and great play maker.
