Pau Gasol
Pau Gasol is apparently being shopped around by the Grizzlies, and despite how much I love Andrew Bynum...Gasol is one of the few big men that I'd trade him for.
Sixth year in the league.
Career averages of 19 and 8.
This year, he's getting 19 and 7, while shooting 58%. I don't think there is any doubt that with Kobe, Lamar and Gasol, we would get to that next level.
Unfortunately (in this case), I don't think the Lakers will even consider trading Andrew.
Think the Grizzlies would do a trade like Bynum, Mihm, McKie, Williams and a first for Gasol?

Now that would be a beautiful thing.

Re: Pau Gasol
grizzlies need more than bynum, mihm, and mckie in my opinion. gasol is already proven, andrew is not. he's only showing good signs.

That's what I said mang.
Although, if the Bulls are retarded enough to give the Grizzlies Gordon and Deng, we don't have a shot.

Re: Pau Gasol
I think the Bulls or Celtics have the best chance. However Chicago doesn't want to overpay. Bynum is definately better than anything Boston has though. I stole your signature idea
Smush
Kobe
Walton
Odom
Gasol

Re: Pau Gasol
The Grizzlies are trying to cut costs by shipping Gasol and start from sratch. I'll give them any combination of the youngns'. Another words, they won't require a player like Odom in return. Too bad a lot of other teams could easily come up with a better offer than the Lakers. Just for fun, here is a proposal.
Bynum, Farmar, Luke, McKie and Mihm for Gasol, Johnson, and Kinsey
C - Kwame, Turiaf
PF - Gasol, Turiaf, Cook, Vlad, Johnson
SF - Odom, Evans, Vlad
SG - Kobe, Evans, Sasha, Kinsey
PG - Smush, Sasha, Shammond

Not by that much, though. Al Jefferson almost has as much value as Bynum and the Celtics have other valuable young players, as well, namely Gerald Green, Delonte West, and either Sebastian Telfair or Rajon Rondo. I don't expect the Celtics to trade for Gasol, but I do feel that they do have the capability to do so.

Umm...replacing Lamar Odom with Kwame Brown is not beautiful.

Would the Celtics really trade Jefferson in a deal for Gasol? Haven't seen Jefferson play much this year, but judging by the fact that he is getting 13/10 and shooting 49% in his 3rd NBA season, I've got to think that Boston has high hopes for him.

Re: Pau Gasol
If Jefferson could stay healthy, a lot more people around here would be talking about him.
