Jermaine O'Neal?
I read today that he would accept a trade to the Lakers, but would you guys accept it? Odom + Kwame for JO works. I feel that if it happened though, it would be a little bigger of a deal. That'd leave the Lakers starting with this...
Smush
Kobe
Luke
Jermaine
Bynum

If he could ever stay healthy, yes, I 'd accept it.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal?
It'd allow Indiana to play an even faster game with him gone, and Odom in his place. Draft picks would probably be the deciding factor on the Pacer's part though.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal?
I wouldnt be suprised. Hes been linked to the Lakers in trades for the past few years.
Im not sure if he'd make you a championship team right from the get go, but it would no doubt improve your team. And if Bynum keeps improving, you guys could look real scary come next years playoffs.

I don't think that Smoosh is going to be here next year, so don't put him in the starting lineup.I don't get this thing with smoosh. Whenever I hear a report on him, they talked about him being a good defender and penetrator. I don't know which smoosh they're talking about, cause the one here sucks.

Re: Jermaine O'Neal?
Lamar and Kwame for Jermaine O'Neal? I dont know about that, too risky. Though Lamar and Kwame cant be considered iron men, Im more much concerned with Jermaine's recurring knee problems lately.
Plus giving up two key guys for one? does'nt make any sense if the Lakers' intention is to win now, Jermaine and Kobe + LA's current role players is still not enough to get them to that elite status. Id trade Kwame or Lamar + Bynum, since they want a player of vakue in return. Adding some fillers may also help us land Tinsley.
If we can somehow pull a Kwame/Bynum pacakage, then I think a healthy trio of Kobe/Lamar/JO can definitely put them among the 1st tier teams in the west.

Agreed JO's recent injuries would not make this a good deal for the Lakers.
Plus, if we need to take Jamaal Tinsley thats a big no no

Re: Jermaine O'Neal?
I would not trade Lamar for O'Neal. A package involving Bynum, Farmar, possible picks, and fillers? Absolutely.

I'd say Tinsley is better than anyone you have at the 1 right now.

Tinsley is the absolute worst starting Point Guard in the league.

word.
I would assume the pacers would be more interested in young talent, draft picks, and expirings if they delt Jerm, as it is unlikely that they would get equal value in terms of pure talent. jermaine is a better player than both lamar and kwame, but giving up both of them for jerm is a sideways move at best taking into account jerm's recent injury problems.
man, kobe+lamar+jerm looks great on paper. not sure how it'd work out, but I'm positive it would be 10X better than what we have now. assuming we don't upgrade much at the 1 (we better), imagine if phil experimented with different line-uos. Like a Defensive Line-up of Kobe-Mo-Lamar-Ronny-Jermaine. or an offensive line-up of Luke-Kobe-Lamar-Vlad/Cook-Jermaine.
just a dream, though.
