Feel free to look up mine. I wasn't for it before or after the trade. And have hated Kwame since day one. And before the trade, I was also saying I think Butler would fit into this system better because of his chemestry with Kobe, and that we should trade Odom since his value was higher.

No I'm not blaming Caron for the pitiful performance of the team, it's just that Odom's value to the team is strongly undervalued here. But we've asked for him to carry the team all season long on the defensive glass and now that he's gone we are giving up 110 all the damn time. Lamar is EXACTLY the dynamic versatile second option that every championship team needs. I really think that all we need is Phil to tap into his offensive potential... and for that reason I really don't want to trade him. Players like Caron on the other hand, are a lot less rare.

Why would that make you feel better? Carons impressive games were the reason the Lakers were not winning according to your old posts.

Actually what I said is that Odom being out was the reason they were losing. In fact the post you quoted has me saying that Caron wasn't the reason we were losing. Do people really have this hard of a time reading what I say? The worst thing I said about Caron there is that he isn't as valuable as Odom.

And I read the Kwame trade thread, you were at first vehemently against the trade but warmed up to it somewhat in the end. I didn't mean for you to get defensive, I was asking because I didn't remember your stance. All I'm trying to do is show people that Mitch isn't as bad as they think. Walton was a good pick. So was Ronny, so was Bynum, Farmar, Critt, possibly Gasol. People favored the Kwame trade.

Damn, I didn't realize that I wrote a dissertation on Kwame Brown!

I really liked Caron on this team (I believe I made that apparent in my post), but I also attempted to defend the deal to some extent. I guess I just hoped that Kupchak wasn't as stupid as he appeared for pulling the trigger on this trade....DOH!

Take this off track? Didn't you bring Kwame and Caron trade up in the first place?

At least Caron has heart and would probably do better than Brown even if he is short.

I think it's a painful decision. Caron wont be needed on this team next season, as much as I like him... This trade makes Odom move back to his natural position which is instantly a good thing... But I feel bad for Butler and even Kobe.. They really clicked and I wanted to see Butler grow as a player with the Lakers and become something....

Now I gotta watch him do that in washington...

This is me warming up to it? Saying the deal sucks, but I understand why the trade was made? Understanding why it was made isn't the same thing as agreeing with it. I'm sure you at least understand what the Lakers were attempting to do with this trade, despite not agreeing with it. Did not everyone here whine about Lamar not playing his natural position? Did we not need a big? Or is there something else your reading in my posts? That's a bit of a strech even for your logic.

If it would have been my call Odom would have been shipped out before Butler. And I wouldnt have pulled the trigger on a bust like Brown.
