I wonder if he even plays before the end of the season. Not that I'm overly concerned about this considering the level of play he's demonstrated when he did play, but anyway just thought I'd post this, since I saw discussions about his return during the road trip...

Re: Mihm not coming back so soon after all
It looks like he's done for the regular season at least. Personally, I'm indifferent to this. Mihm looked awful when he did play this season and I doubt he would be much help coming off heel surgery anyway, so it's probably better that he won't be returning.

Mihm at least would be better than Mbenga. This is really just sad. He's basically missed 2.5yrs now. He's done.

not really. this is a foot injury. last year was an ankle injury. he's just injury prone. it usually takes most guys a year to get back into form too.

He should have been released before this season, I still have no idea why the Lakers decided to give him another contract.

Re: Mihm not coming back so soon after all
Dude is the slowest healer of all time. Who would of thought that ankle sprain against seattle almost three years ago ruined his career.
It's a damn shame because the way he played his first two years here would of made him one of the best backup centers in the league, if not the best.

It really is a shame...hopefully we get some good production out of Mbenga until Bynum gets back.

Damnit! I was hoping to have him here to deepen our frontcourt!

I think he will heal and come back and be the mediocre center we all hoped he could be.

Re: Mihm not coming back so soon after all
As much as I don't really care for Mbenga, I don't think the Lakers are losing very much at all with Mihm being unable to return. I don't dislike the guy, but what good would he actually do if he did come back? He's much slower and can no longer jump - that's a bad combination for a center in this league. I'd rather have Mbenga out there swinging wildly at everyone who comes down the lane than an ineffectual Chris Mihm.
