Kobe on The Mike Tirico Show Todat 3/17
Hey- was listening to ESPN Radio at work ( you can stream it here http://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/index) Kobe is going to be on The Mike Tirico Show around 1:15 today. Tirico normally puts on a good show, I'm a fan of his, so it should be a good interview.

If anyone is an Insider, is there any way to tell us what he said or how we can listen to the interview.
I went to the Miki Tirico section of ESPNradio.com, but you have to be an insider to hear the interview. Here's the summary of what it says, though:
Quote:
|
Every year March Madness comes around, Kobe wishes he played in college for Coach K. at Duke. Bryant says Mike Krzyzewski and Phil Jackson are very funny. He says Houston is on an unbelievable streak. Kobe likes having the target on his back. He wants everyone to remain confident even with Gasol and Bynum out. Bryant would like an MVP.

Seriously! The rumors sections is not worth the money when you can find the same rumors elsewhere and the articles aren't that insightful.

And now, your moment of Zen:
Lakers coach Phil Jackson couldn't resist taking a shot at his old center when asked if he was worried about the Lakers struggling with an early tip-off time as they have in the past. "No, Shaq's in Phoenix now," Jackson said.

You can here it here: Link
Under 8 the whole thing is available. Kobe sounds very encouraging!
Talks about seeding, winning championships and how he desires those more than winning an MVP (which would be nice, but it's not his goal to win it), about how his teammates can't lose faith because they're without Gasol and the others, etc. He's also giving props to LeBron, Paul and Duncan. A very well thought out interview, imo.

Tirico gives some good interviews, he always seems to have some cool guests on and is able to have detailed conversations with them. I also like this he switches up his co-hosts. The other day he had on Scot Van Pelt, who I'm a fan of. Tirico definitely puts on a good show.

Thanks...I didn't even notice that when I was looking at the Daily Dime the other day.
