Phil rips trainer Gary Vitti

I wonder if he's serious or joking? seems like he's serious.

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...,2804200.story

Quote:
Not that the Lakers are hanging on by their fingernails, but when Jackson was asked which Lakers he wasn't happy with, he started with his trainer.

"Gary Vitti is the guy that really bothers me the most because he's our trainer who can't get everybody healthy," said Jackson, whimsically, we think.

"Every day he says, 'I wish I could get this guy ready for you, but. . . . '

"I won't go through the litany of the rest of it."

Re: Phil knocks trainer Gary Vitti

Seriously how bad of a trainer do you have to be to keep losing players to the dumbest injuries three seasons in a row. Christ, I can still remember Shaq sitting out games because his toe was sore. Maybe we can trade him to Phoenix so all of their players get injured.

He's joking. We don't need a new trainer.

Re: Phil knocks trainer Gary Vitti

you know what i find weird? anyone remember the season where amare missed all but 1 (or was it 2?) games? how come the suns training staff didn't get credit for having him miss a full year of basketball? yet they get praise for keeping the guys healthy.

ya but Amare was hurt pretty bad, and the fact that Amare came back even stronger and better only helps the quality of the Suns staff because they diagnosed him perfectly. that is why they are the best, also look at Shaq, hes playing like he is a few years younger. Oh and Hill hasnt been gone for a period of time since he joined the Suns and he has been injury plagued his whole carrer. i can only hope the Lakers staff improves a little in the offseason.

Re: Phil knocks trainer Gary Vitti

shaq is playing like he's a few years younger because he is motivated now though.

the thing with hill is true though. and im not sure how bad amare was hurt, but he didn't have a collission/injury, it was just something that lingered. it wasn't from any single "blow." so you could use that a to criticize the medical staff with their conditioning.

Yeah, I bet him, Jerry Buss and George Bush will conduct some mass conspiracy to get rid of Gary Vitti. "That son of a ***** shouldn't of been friendly to Shaq!". I can see the New York Times headline now.

I can't help but recall the thread I posted calling for Vitti's head well over a year ago. It was a whimsical thread for the record.
